Az övezet gazdasági térszerkezete azonban nem homogén, s őt akkora különbségek adódhat- nak, amelyek már megkérdőjelezhetik a terület — els ősorban fejlesztési szemponto- kat szem előtt tartó — elkülönítését, önállóságát. A rendszerváltás óta eltelt évek a társadalmi—gazdasági tér több dimenziójában új térstruktúrát alakítottak ki. Igaz ez nemcsak az agglomeráció központját jelent ő főváros, hanem vizsgálatunk földrajzi terét képező agglomerációs övezet vonatkozásában is. Tanulmányunk csak az agg- lomerációs övezet gazdaságát veszi górcs ő alá, bár tisztában vagyunk azzal a ténnyel, hogy a végeredmény nehezen értelmezhet ő az agglomeráció központjának figyelmen kívül hagyásával. A külföldi tőke beruházásainak jó része a tercier szektorban realizálódott. Sok szó esik manapság a tercier szektorról. Valóban, a legszembet űnőbb változások ebben az ágazatban zajlanak, els ősorban a kereskedelem, a szállítás, a gazdasági szolgál- tatások terén.

    Környezeti zaj - stratégiai zajtérkép Azért, hogy a Budapest és vonzáskörzetére elkészített, irányelvben foglaltaknak megfelel ő stratégiai zajtérképeket megfelel őképp értelmezni és használni tudjuk, mindenképp szükséges az alábbi információk gondos áttekintése. Bevezetés A zaj elleni védelemmel kapcsolatos környezetvédelmi szakpolitika a közös felel ősség elvének megfelel ően 2002-ben vált a közösségi politika részévé, az Európai Parlament és a Tanács 2002/49/EK – a környezeti zaj értékelésér ől és kezelésér ől szóló – irányelv ének elfogadásával. Mivel korábban nem volt egységes, megbízható és összehasonlítható adat Európában a környezeti zaj stratégiai vizsgálatára vonatkozóan, ezért az irányelv bevezetésével els ő lépésben az egységes módszert teremtették meg, így az összehasonlítható kritériumoknak megfelel ően az európai 250.000 f őnél nagyobb nagyvárosi agglomerációkra 2007. június 30- ig stratégiai zajtérképet , majd arra építve 2008. július 18-ig intézkedési tervet kell készíteni. Az intézkedési tervek kidolgozásának célja a meglévő kritikus helyzetek, problémák lehetséges – esetleg közösségi szint ű részvétellel történ ő – kezelése, megoldása. A joganyag továbbiakban megszabja a nyilvánosságra hozatal elveit, valamint a Bizottság részére történ ő adatszolgáltatás tartalmi követelményeit is.     SPATIAL GRAVITY CENTRES OF THE DYNAMICS AND THE CRISIS IN HUNGARY JÓZSEF NEMES-NAGY1 The transition into market economy in Hungary was coupled with an increase in regional disparities and the restructuring of the spatial pattern of economy. The study presents some spatial processes of the Hungarian transition (1990–2000) by the classic method of the spa- tial analysis: method of gravity centres. The basic points of the analysis are the settlements of the country. The characteristic geographical location of individual gravity centres – popula- tion, income, unemployment, phone lines – and their mobility or stability refer to the fact that the method is suitable not only for the analyses of static features of spatial structures of society or showing long-time, historical trends of movements, but for describing new con- nections in the examination of periods of radical changes (typically in the transition in East- ern Europe). The investigations prove the dominant role of capital in the spatial structure of transition as well as the sharp West-East disparities. KEYWORDS: Gravity centres; Regional inequalities. This process has been analysed substantially by using statistical methods as well. Regarding the analytical methods of these studies two characteristic ones can be distinguished: the classification of regional units which uses complex mathematical-statistical and multi-dimensional methods (Faluvégi; 2000) and the analyses focusing on the tendency in these regional inequalities (latest: Nagy; 2002). In an attempt to analyse regional processes this paper works with dif- ferent methodology: it uses an analogue model applied in physics, the method of gravity centres, which takes demographic and economic gravity centres as the base of the analysis.

Address: Úri utca 49, Budapest 1014, Hungary Phone: 00-36-1-224-67-42 E-mail: szirmai@ socio.mta.hu Paper presented at the International RC21 Conference 2011 Session 16: (RT16.1) The Challenge of Global Suburbanism. 1 Abstract The objective of the paper is to present the main social inequalities of the large Hungarian urban regions between the different urban zones, especially between the city cores and the peripheries, regarding the impacts of modern suburbanisation processes and globalisation. The presentation would like to verify the creation of a certain new territorial dichotomy, more exactly the formation of the new dual structured core-periphery model, concerning the regional localisation of urban population, determined by the change of the historical regional situation and contemporary mechanisms. Besides these, the aim of the paper is to formulate a few hypotheses concerning the main similarities between the different European urban development models characterized by social inequalities. In order to explain the reasons for the creation of territorial dichotomies it is relevant to point out, firstly that the social inequalities depend on the impact of urban sprawl, and they also depend on the social structural mechanism as well. Secondly, it is necessary to indicate the significance of urban cooperation, which is not characteristic between the different territorial actors, the city, and the suburban local governments.
