ChuaA nice alternative to the "zombie apocalypse" genre by giving a twist and focusing on a group of survivors and how they have to cope with the Crossed outbreak. The nice thing about the series is that each volume takes on a different author and artist and focuses on a different set of survivors so it feels fresh. There is a copious amount of sexual violence but in this volume it's not as graphic or frequent as later volumes and isn't a focus of the characters or the story. For those worrying about the price, it's worth it - this book is easily at least twice the size of other graphic novels available.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great comic of really messed up mature content!By black flame restorationExactly what I was looking for. A dark, mature, and really twisted comic. Had me feeling disturbed and somehow even violated at times. It's written interestingly and well. There is interesting drama between characters that cause you to love and hate charecters which makes you more invested or intrigued in the story. Lots of messed up things going on. Good shock factor. Would recommend to those looking for something really messed up, filled with mature content such as, gore and sexual material as well as disturbing images and situations.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This story will make you think about a lot of things and even better, question your own motivations and values.
