Matt Deemer is in his first season as SDSU’s Director of Soccer Operations. A recent graduate of Chapman University, where he was a back-up goalkeep- er, Deemer already has four years of coaching experience under his belt. Deemer got his first coaching experience as the Chapman Women’s Club Team Head Coach for the 2015-16 season. He also was the JV Head Coach at Villa Park High School from 2015-17, before being elevated to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Coach for the 2017-18 school year. As Villa Park’s Head Coach, Deemer Eddie Padilla helped them reach the CIF Finals, which earned him CIF Coach of the Year 6th Season honors. A 2005 graduate of Mira Mesa High School in San Diego, Padilla is a mem- ber of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Padilla is married to the former Brandi Jones, who is an assistant coach Kristin Manyak has been on the San Diego State athletic training staff since with the SDSU women’s lacrosse team. The couple resides in San Diego with 2011.
