Lucile Canault joined the children and youth department of France Télévisions in 2011 as a Program Advisor with responsibility for editorial content of the channel’s preschool and kid’s (6-8 years old) slots. She took on her current role as FTV’s preschool animation Manager in September 2015. Lucile has worked on co-productions such as “Garfield”, “Angelo Rules”, “Mouk”, “Peter Pan”, “Lolirock”, “the Triplets” and many more. She started her career in 2000 as an International Sales Executive and later International Sales Manager at France Télévisions Distribution, working with producers and rights owners to maximize revenue for their programs and properties across all media and digital platforms.

Jean de Vivie Image-In {France}

Jean has 20 years international experience in production and distribution of content for media: TV programs, licensing rights and branding. As founder and executive producer, he has managed for 10 years Image-in, a production company specialized in children programs including animated series and TV shows. Based in Paris, France, and Montreal, Canada. He previously managed Ostra Delta, a Spanish TV design agency specialized in branding services. He supervised the broadcast design of 37 TV channels in 12 countries including France 2, HBO, Warner TV, Canal+, TVE and Antena 3. Prior to this, he acted as Licensing Manager at Sony Pictures. Athena Georgaklis is the newly appointed Head of Content for Nelvana. Georgaklis, a highly respected animation executive, leads the acquisition of rights and the development of all original content for Nelvana, working with the studio’s producers, creators, and talent around the world. Georgaklis has worked in Canadian broadcast and production for more than 19 years. In her most recent role, Georgaklis oversaw all original productions for Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON network, supervising the development and production of Canadian content in both English and French. During her time with TELETOON, she led the production and development of hit shows like “Johnny Test”, “Camp Lakebottom”, “Mysticons”, “Counterfeit Cat”, “Atomic Puppet”, “Rocket Monkeys” and the “Total Drama Island” franchise.

Nick Hall BBC – CBeebies {UK}

Nick has been part of the CBeebies Animation & Acquisitions team for the past five years, involved with shows such as “Bing”, “Rastamouse” and “Clangers”. Since 2016 he has been the Programme Executive for CBeebies responsible for “Hey Duggee”, “Sarah & Duck” and “Kate & Mim-Mim”. Michael Hirsh WOW! Unlimited Media {Canada}

Mr. Hirsh’s achievements have helped shape today’s era in animation production and distribution. In 1971, Mr. Hirsh co-founded Nelvana, where he developed and produced many programmes. Some of the shows that Nelvana is best known for are “Babar”, “Tintin”, “Berenstain Bears”, “Care Bears”, “Droids”, “Ewoks”, “Magic School Bus”, “Franklin”, “Little Bear”, “Max and Ruby”, “Rolie Polie Olie”, “Bob and Margaret”, and “Beyblade”. Nelvana was sold to Corus in 2000 and Mr. Hirsh continued to serve as CEO until 2002 when he left the company. In 2004, Mr. Hirsh co-led an investment group to start Cookie Jar Entertainment. where he served as CEO until the acquisition of its business by DHX Media in October 2012. Mr. Hirsh served as Executive Chair of DHX Media and Chairman of their Digital Sales Group through 2015. He began his career in 2000 as Script Coordinator at Gaumont Alphanim. He then joined Disney as Acquisitions Supervisor in 2002, when Disney Television France launched its new channels Playhouse Disney and Toon Disney. At the beginning of 2007, he joined the youth department at France 3 as Program adviser and from October 2008 to November 2011, as On-air Promo and Creative Manager, Jean-Baptiste Lamotte was in charge of producing all on-air elements for the children’s blocks Ludo (France 3) and Zouzous (France 5). Since December 2011 in the children and youth program’s unit at France Télévisions, Jean-Baptiste Lamotte is responsible for the development and the production of animation aimed at 6-12 year olds.

Carrie is a member of the acquisitions & co-productions team which oversees the global acquisitions process, sourcing live-action and animated series and movies on a worldwide basis for Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior. Prior to moving into her current role in 2014, Carrie spent eight years in the Disney Channel Original Movies department helping to move projects from pitch to air in the successful DCOM Franchise. During her tenure, Carrie worked on over 30 movies. Born and raised in Southern California, Carrie attended the University of California, Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies graduating with a degree in Creative Studies with an emphasis in Literature. She is based in Burbank, California, at the headquarters of Disney Channels Worldwide.

Desiree Peeters BBC Children’s Acquisitions (CBBC & CBeebies) {UK}

Starting as a production runner on technology series “Technobabble”, Desiree has worked for BBC Children’s in a variety of roles since 2014 spanning from CBBC Interactive to “Blue Peter”. Until recently she continued to work alongside these roles as a library assistant, of which she has seven years of experience. Prior to the BBC, Desiree has worked as a freelance camera operator, editor and research assistant for a couple of Norfolk-based indies. As Development Assistant, Desiree manages all project submissions for the CBeebies and CBBC channels. In the past two years, Desiree has also helped set-up and co-ordinate the CBBC and BBC Worldwide industry competition Anim8, and the CBBC student animation initiative Scream Street Bites. Léon Perahia Belvision {Belgium}

Léon Perahia is the General Manager of Dupuis Audiovisuel, the French production company of Group Dupuis. He has launched the adaptation of several famous comics. He produced 52 episodes of Spirou in coproduction with TFI and RTBF; 26 episodes of “Flash Gordon” (with Hearst, CANAL+ and France 3); 52 episodes of “Papyrus” (TF1, RTBF), 26 episodes of “Vor-Tech” (Universal); as well as the successful 156-episode-series of “Cédric” (France 3 and RTBF) and the 104 episodes of “Kid Paddle” (M6/RTBF). Léon has also been producing live-action productions. Most notably he was involved in the shooting of the 39-hour-long adaptation of the famous “Largo Winch” series (M6, RTL-TVI, Paramount). In addition to the aforementioned activities, Léon has developed merchandising and licensing activities for Dupuis as well as a sales department dedicated to international TV and video rights. Léon is the president of Belvision, the Belgium production company of Group Dupuis and CEO of Dreamwall (animation provider) and Keywall (shooting studios). Fred Seibert Frederator Networks {USA}

Fred Seibert is the founder of Frederator Networks, the Chief Creative Officer of WOW! Unlimited Media, and a serial media entrepreneur. He was the first creative director of MTV and the last president of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. Fred founded Next New Networks (acquired by YouTube). He’s on the board of directors of Sawhorse Media, and was the first investor in Tumblr. Frederator Networks is Channel Frederator, the leading online cartoon network, Frederator Studios, an independent production company with hits on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, Cartoon Hangover, the home of “Bravest Warriors” and “Bee & PuppyCat” (the most funded web series Kickstarter in history), and Frederator Books.
