CCHS is a comprehensive public school, nationally acclaimed as a Blue Ribbon School and one of America’s Best High Schools by The Washington Post and Newsweek – 99th in Florida and 1453 in the nation. Moreover, the school has been recognized by Broward County Public Schools for its 99% graduation rate – one of the highest in the county – and by the state of Florida for the 5-Star School Award. CCHS has 2329 students, grades 9 through 12, with a culturally diverse population: 54% White, 32% Hispanic/Latino, 7% Black, 6% Asian and 1% Multi-racial or Other.
