In 2004 he was named to the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame in the Closed Wheel, Open Wheel and Snowmobile Category. The first few years of his illustrious career he drove mostly MGA’s and Austin Healeys, winning a number of events with a pushrod MG which outraced twin cam vehicles. Over the next seven years Cordts won over 100 trophies and firmly established himself as a top driver. In 1965 he moved up in class - his Gorrie’s Chevrolet Corvette won the Canadian title for big bore sports cars and Cordts was named driver of the year.

  • Home-Brewed 1987 Pro Season
1987 for Cold Snap! Thanks for downloading the 1987 season file I created for Cold Snap! I hope you enjoy playing, and please send any and all feedback to me at usfltecmo AT hotmail DOT com. East Division Winnipeg 12-6 Toronto 11-6-1 Hamilton 7-11 Ottawa 3-15 CFL West Division BC 12-6 Edmonton 11-7 Calgary 10-8 Saskatchewan 5-12-1 Championship: Edmonton 38, Toronto 36 This is a season that Charles Dickens may have envisioned all those years back. It was indeed the best of times and the worst of times in the world of Canadian pro football. The league had a very competitive season, highlighted by a back and forth championship game that is still talked about as one of the best in league history. On the financial front, however, the league was suffering from the loss of their Carling O'Keefe sponsorship, and things were so bad in Montreal that the team folded just days before their first scheduled game of the season! I have created this season with the help of Keith's how-to guide for Second Season football, plus the adjustments he suggests for Canadian play. The one major change I made was one of necessity, as at this time, I do not have access to team defensive stats for yards allowed, so I simply took into account points scored to give the teams their defensive grades. If someone happens to have access to this data, please get in touch with me, and I will make changes as necessary.

  • Men's Football History 2017-2018
Men’s Football History 2017-2018 Season Record: 5-3 (5th in the OUA) Playoff Record: 1-1 (lost to Western in OUA semi-final) Expectations were high for the Gryphons football program heading into the 2017 OUA season. Two narrow overtime losses, including a heartbreaker in London against the eventual Vanier Cup Champion Western Mustangs, was a difficult way to start off the year. But Guelph would show the resolve of a great team, winning five of the six remaining games on the regular season schedule, a run that started with a record-setting 81-10 home win over Windsor on Saturday, Sept. 9. That point total marked the most ever scored by a Gryphons team in school history. Guelph had to deal with the loss of their veteran quarterback James Roberts, who was hurt in the Homecoming game against McMaster, but backup Theo Landers took the reins and helped the team to three straight wins for a 5-3 record. The Gryphons entered the OUA playoffs with momentum and produced a big 30-8 road win over the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the quarter-final. Guelph’s solid season would come to an end in London when they fell to the powerful Mustangs in the semi-final. The Gryphons had several incredible individual achievements in 2017. Fifth-year running back Johnny Augustine climbed to second all- time on the U of G rushing list, while also establishing the school record for rushing touchdowns at 19. First Team All-Canadian kicker Gabe Ferraro had a year to remember, establishing the U SPORTS single-season record with 33 field goals, eclipsing his brother Daniel’s record of 26.
