Disney Interactive Studios Agrees to Acquire China-Based Video Game Software Developer Gamestar

Disney Interactive Studios recently announced an agreement to acquire Gamestar, one of China’s leading independent video game software developers. With locations in Shanghai and Wuhan, Gamestar has a six-year track record producing high quality art and technology solutions for interactive entertainment software development.

Gamestar would become the sixth in Disney Interactive Studios’ growing international portfolio of creative centers of excellence. Disney’s previous acquisition was Warren Spector’s Junction Point Studios, based in Austin, Texas, acquired in July 2007.
