Release Features Add support for ScreenBeam Kit This release unifies the firmware to support both the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro and the Actiontec ScreenBeam Kit and dongle (SBT100U).

Add support for Metro Configuration Utility This release adds support for the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro Configuration Utility. The utility is available on the Widows app store and allows users to configure the ScreenBeam Pro receiver as well as check and download firmware updates for the device.

Enhancements Disabled OneTouchPlay To improve the user experience and resolve compatibility issues, OneTouchPlay (a.k.a. consumer electronic control on some devices) has been turned off by default. OneTouchPlay may be re-enabled using the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro Configuration Utility on Window’s 8.1 devices.

Add UIBC support for mouse/keyboard UIBC (user input back channel) support has been added for mouse and keyboard devices.

Increased storage capacity for profiles ScreenBeam Pro can now remember up to 500 unique profiles (previously connected devices) so users do not have to re-enter PIN each time they connect.

Added support for Japanese language Added Japanese language support. Language selection can be done using the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro Configuration Utility.

Improved connection rate on Nexus4 phone The connection rate on the phone is improved when the phone is not connected to a router.

Improved latency on Nvidia Shield Reduced screen to screen latency on the Nvidia Shield while in “Game Mode” by an additional 30-40mS from previous firmware version (approximately 100mS).

This was observed on the Google Nexus4 and Xperia Z phones.

Known Issues Video distortion on initial connection – K900 Some video distortion may occur after initially connecting with the Lenovo K900 phone. This appears as green/gray blinking blocks and covers the lower half of the display.

Workaround The effect will eventually stop after some time or by navigating to other screens.

Volume control does not work – Z, Nvidia Shield Using the volume controls on the device does not affect the volume levels on the TV.

Workaround Recommend using the volume control on the TV device instead of the source device.

The device will auto-disconnect from the receiver On certain mobile devices, the connection will auto-disconnect at random times. This has been observed on the S3 and Note 10.1

Workaround Issue is under investigation with no current solution. Reconnect and try again.

Photo slideshow causes the video to freeze Launching the photo slideshow will cause the video on the receiver to freeze. This has been observed on the Samsung S4 and Samsung S3. On the Samsung S3 this is temporary – the video stream will resume in a few seconds.

Workaround Our current recommendation is to use a different photo gallery slideshow than the default installed application.
