SCIENTIFIC FOCUS AREAS Clinical implementation of molecular biological methods with focus on new diagnostic, prognostic and predictive strategies - based on research in pathogenesis for malignant B cell diseases.

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE Since 2005 employed as Professor in Clinical Haematology and Head of Research Section, Department of Haematology, Aalborg University Hospital Science and Innovation Center (AHSIC), Aalborg, Denmark, Responsible for the research activity, infrastructure, strategy, budget and management including PhD programmes for young scientists in training, currently involving managing a staff of 3 , 5 postdocs, a technical administrative staff and current training/education of PhD and master students.

The Haematology Research Laboratory has five Core Units: (i) Molecular genetics laboratory, (ii) Multiparametric flow cytometry unit (iii) Affymetrix platform, (iv) Data management and Statistical Bioinformatics Unit, and (v) Research Biobank and Administrative Unit involving a staff of academic (N=15) and technical and administrative (N=6) personnel.
