From September, 1941 to December, 1945 the author served in the Infantry and Transportation Corps of the United States Army. His Overseas aSSignment was in the European Theatre of Operations In order to complete his interrupted high school program, the author attended the Accelerated Program for Veterans and was graduated from Carl Schurz High School in August, 1946 and in February, 1951 graduated from Loyola University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce.
