BILL RICHARDS ELEVATED TO COORDINATING PRODUCER OF NFL SUNDAY AND THE OT

FOX Sports Media Group has elevated Bill Richards to Coordinating Producer of FOX NFL SUNDAY, America’s most-watched NFL pregame show, and all of ’ NFL-related studio programming, including THE OT postgame program. The announcement was made today by FSMG President & Co-COO Eric Shanks. Richards steps into the role Scott Ackerson, recently promoted, had held since 1994.

One of the most versatile and creative members of the FOX Sports production team, Richards has held a variety of positions over the past 15 years. His most visible came in February when he served as line producer for FOX SUPER BOWL SUNDAY prior to Super Bowl XLV in North Texas. The four-hour pregame extravaganza was watched by an average of 22.2 million viewers.

Richards spent seven seasons (2004-10) as the lead producer of FOX NASCAR SUNDAY, the network’s critically-acclaimed prerace show. He also produced comedian Frank Caliendo’s “Frank’s Picks” segment, one of the most popular and entertaining features on FOX NFL SUNDAY, and more recently has overseen FUEL TV’s studio programming including The Daily Habit , a mix of athletes, bands and celebrity interviews. Richards is also co-creator, producer and director of Cubed , a weekly sports variety show airing on FOXSports.com and FUEL TV. His work with FOX Sports has been recognized with six Emmy Awards.

Bill’s longtime role on FOX NFL SUNDAY ensures a seamless transition into his new position.”

Richards joined the network production staff in 1996 where he has spent his entire professional career. Richards graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Ackerson was recently promoted to Executive Vice President and Executive Producer of all studio programming for the networks and entities within FOX Sports Media Group, which includes FOX Sports, Fox Sports Regional Networks, SPEED, , , FUEL TV and FOXSports.com.
