Council are now looking at how we address this issue but in the meantime can I please ask the offenders to STOP HOLDING OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE CAR PARK TO THE OUTER LOCKER ROOM OPEN WITH BINS, WEDGES, PLASTIC ETC. These same members I am sure would be most vocal if affected by the same theft as some of their fellow members and guests to the club. Inter Club Golf Senior Cup Team play in Sligo this Saturday Mixed Play Oughterard on Wednesday June 24th Managers Holidays I will be on Annual Leave from Sunday June 28th to Thursday July 9th Vagliano & Junior Vagliano Trophies The Vagliano and Junior Vagliano Trophy matches are being held at Malone Golf Club, Belfast, 26-27 June 2015. The Vagliano matches are a biennial event where Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) challenge the Continent of Europe for the Vagliano Trophy. Both teams were announced by the Ladies Golf Union (LGU) last week and four Irish players have been named between the two teams. Ireland's representatives on the Vagliano team are world No 1 amateur Leona Maguire (Slieve Russell) and Olivia Mehaffey (Royal County Down Ladies). The team will be captained Elaine Farquharson-Black. Mairead Martin (Killarney) and Annabel Wilson (Lurgan) were selected as Ireland’s representatives on the Junior Vagliano Team, which will be captained by former Irish International Claire Coughlan-Ryan (Cork). This will be the 29th match in the series. GB&I has won 16 matches and the Continent of Europe 12 but Europe is on somewhat of a roll with four victories in a row since 2007. Please come and support the GB&I team as they endeavour to complete their 17th win over the Continent of Europe. Great golf and an exciting atmosphere is guaranteed.
