TEACHING QUALITY SUPPORT DIVISION VISITOR TRAVEL INFORMATION The Teaching Quality Support Division is located in the Foundation Building on Brownlow Hill, 765 on the campus map found here: www.liv.ac.uk/files/docs/maps/liverpool-university-campus-map.pdf University of Liverpool is committed to encouraging sustainable travel. Car parking at the University is also limited and so visitors may want to consider the following travel options: RAIL Merseyrail If travelling within Merseyside, Merseyrail provides a regular service to stations in Liverpool. The nearest stations to the University are Liverpool Lime Street (Wirral Line only), and Liverpool Central (Northern and Wirral Lines). Many Merseyrail stations have free (or very reasonable) car parking and cycle storage facilities, and bicycles can be taken on its trains free of charge. For information on timetables, tickets and station facilities visit: www.merseyrail.org National Rail The University of Liverpool Campus is just a ten-minute walk away from the nearest mainline station at Lime Street with connections to a wide range of regional and national destinations. For timetable and ticket information visit: www.nationalrail.co.uk Directions from Stations Lime Street Station: Take the main exit and turn left into Lime Street. Then turn left again at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel and continue up Brownlow Hill towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral and Red Brick Victoria Gallery and Museum with its clock tower. The Foundation Building is just past the Cathedral and opposite the Museum. Central Station: Take the main exit and turn right onto Ranelagh Street to walk up towards the Britannia Adelphi Hotel. Cross at the lights and continue straight ahead up Brownlow Hill, as above. BUS/ COACH Local Services A variety of local bus services have routes which stop near the University on Brownlow Hill, Mount Pleasant, Crown Street and Oxford Street. For route maps, timetables and ticket information visit: www.merseytravel.gov.uk National Express The National Express coach station is on Norton Street, a ten-minute walk from the Campus. From the exit, turn right and cross London Road into Seymour Street and Russell Street. Then turn left into Brownlow Hill and head towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral.
