Where possible vehicles should always reverse into bays, under the supervision of a trained banksman (if travelling with one) or the Loading Bay Officer. Pedestrian routes are clearly marked and indicated by either fixed or moveable barriers. No vehicle is allowed to trespass into these walkways. Please note that from time to time pedestrian routes around the loading bay may change. Please remain vigilant of this at all times. 5. Index of the churches in the London metropolitan area described in the Trollope manuscript Chapter 8: London Bells and Bell Towers fills volumes 4 – 6 of the manuscript. The list below is based on Trollope’s index to these volumes, but generally omits incidental references, pointing only to the specific articles on an individual tower. As the work was written in the 1930s, an indication of current status is provided: churches with ringing bells in 2018 are in bold type, an asterisk denoting a replacement ring. • Gracechurch Street Branch Closure
Understanding your branch closure Santander, 51-54 Gracechurch Street, London City, EC3V 0EH This branch will be closing on 25 April 2019. We’d like to explain why, and help you understand how you can continue banking with us. Background to our approach Over the last five years, we’ve continually invested in our branch network. All of our busiest branches across the UK have been refurbished and we’ve introduced improved services for our customers, including our new touch screen cash machines. Increasingly however, more of our customers are changing the way they manage their money. As well as using our branches, more and more people find it convenient to do their day to day banking using online, mobile or telephone banking. As a result, customers are visiting our branches less. Given this change in our customer’s requirements we’ve undertaken a comprehensive review of our branch network. This review incorporates analysis and consideration of many factors including where each of our branches are located and how they are used by our customers. Our branch network remains very important to us and our customers and we’re committed to continuing to invest in and develop our branches. However we will be focusing our investment in those locations where our customers need and use our branches the most. We can assure you that we don’t take the decision to close any branch lightly and we assess each branch individually to consider the potential impact for customers and the alternative options available to bank locally. We hope this leaflet helps to provide more information about our decision to close Gracechurch Street branch.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE The Parish Exposed: London Parish Life and the Great Fire of London A Dissertation submitted in partial satisfaction of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in History by Stephen Arthur Teske March 2015 Dissertation Committee: Dr. Thomas Cogswell, Chairperson Dr. Randolph Head Dr. Jonathan Eacott Copyright by Stephen Arthur Teske 2015 The Dissertation of Stephen Arthur Teske is approved: __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ Committee Chairperson University of California, Riverside ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Throughout the process of writing this dissertation I have often been asked how I cope with the solitude of academic research. Reflecting on the process now, as it nears its end, it is abundantly clear how much writing a dissertation is a team sport. None of this could have been accomplished without Dr. Thomas Cogswell, who patiently guided me through this process from start to finish. If the reader finds any part of this dissertation engaging, it is almost certainly the result of Tom’s ear for a good story, and his never-ending drive to see that story completely extracted from the source material. I owe Dr. Randolph Head a significant debt, not only for his support of this project, but also for modeling the kind of diligence and rigor that makes academic research possible. I must thank Dr. Malcolm Baker for helping me to see structure and space as primary sources, and to Dr. Kristoffer Neville, for teaching me to engage with these sources. I cannot forget to thank Professor Jonathan Eacott who provided some much need last minute support for this project.
