I heartily thank all committees , board members, members and spouses for their whole heartedly support ,cooperation and joining hands in all the work we could do. I look forward for the same manner with zeal and enthusiasm which has been reflected and splashed all over. THANK YOU SO MUCH MAHANAGARIANS. I take this opportunity to thanks our Club Secretary Ashok Agarwal for his excellent support and cooperation. Truly speaking It has been a dream come true for me and every ounce and iota of it has been possible and possible only because of you all MAHANAGARIANS. Today, 30th August 2019, we are having our first Club Assembly and yes friends, it is the best time to share the gist of various activities of the Club done so far in the current Rotary Year and the planning to be done to achieve the targets and think beyond that . It’s a time to really connect with the members and hear them , their opinion, their mind and to understand their aspirations. Club assembly gives an excellent opportunity to understand and connect with the work culture of the club. Dear friends, please let us know where we went wrong, and what more we can do to improve the working thereby get the optimum results and satisfaction in whatever we have been doing. I request each and every member to come forward and share their views. EVERYONE IN MAHANAGAR MEANS A LOT TO US and we promise to do our best . Thanking You once again Vinod Mahipal Mahanagar Bloodline President (2019-20) Our Club carried out six Blood Grouping C a m p s i n b e t w e e n 7.08.2019 to 26.08.2019 and Natural calamities are certainly unavoidable and beyond human control.But all that we can registered 241 SOS donors. do is find ways to cope up with the situation during the hour of need. Flood is a type of natural Requirement of calamity. This year the rain god has been showing its fury almost all over India and as we all f i v e n e e d y know flood has affected many states, but we in Mahanagar are always ready to help those patients were in distress due to natural calamities through our flagship project SHELTER KITS. Friendship Day- a celebration of strong bonding shared between friends was the opportune moment to express the care and connect each Rotarian shares with each other. The event started with the normal RWM proceedings followed by felicitation of members with 100% attendance in past events. Details of upcoming service projects was also shared with the members. Soon, the entire hall was basking in happiness and enjoyment. The pleasure of companionship was evident on everyone’s faces. No one could help but move their feet on the tunes of live music. The event concluded with sumptuous food after capturing glimpse of golden moments in camera roll.” Report by Rtn Babita Agarwal Saraogi Homeopathy Report of the month August 2019 During month of August 2019 total 156 patient treated free in our homeopathy clinic "Shree Ramkumar Memorial Homeopathic Charitable Vande Mataram Dispensary", Rabindra Sarani, Kolkata. Our club celebrated our country’s 72nd Independence Day with due diligence and enthusiasm at Peace Park on Sunday 15th August. Programme was well attended by club members, spouses and children. Peace Park was well decorated with flags and flowers. It started with flag hoisting by PP Satish Bansal and PP Anand Sureka. There after, all present sang patriotic songs led by Pp Deepak Choudhury . Light refreshments were arranged at the park by President Vinod Mahipal. It was a day aptly celebrated with nice drizzling by mother nature along with friends and family. Yoga trainer Mr Garg was also present along with his wife and daughter. He gave nice tips for healthy and happy lifestyle. Report by PP Rtn. Sanjay Dugar Azadi ke Rang , Mahanagar ke Sang 73rd Independence Day Celebration A new team A new venue And Renewed enthusiasm !! "Azadi ke Rang Mahanagar ke Sang" was celebrated on 11th August 2019 at 4A Short Street from 7 pm onwards. Members,spouses and children came dressed in various zonal outfits adding colour, excitement and Josh to the event.The stage was set on fire by east west, north south dance sequence by members and spouses. The surprise duo of Yash and Varidhi elevated the already vibrant and celebratory atmosphere. The dance performance by all male pack raised was simply outstanding. The icing on the cake was the love ,affection and bonding of the members towards club Superstar Shekhar Mehta. Rajat Baid kept everyone engrossed with his unique style of hosting antakshari. Cheers to our president Vinod- Jyoti Mahipal and secretary Ashok-Usha for hosting a memorable program for years to come. PP Deepak Choudhury and Fellowship Chair PP Ajay Lodha were the master mind of the event ensuring good participation of maximum members, spouse and children. The venue, decoration and arrangements were par excellence as always by Rtn. Raj Somani. Friends,Mahanagar has tradition of celebrating Independence Day with Musical game Antakshari. Our Fellowship committee presented a wonderful evening -Azadi ke Rang Mahanagar ke sang ‘to celebrate Independence. What a spectacular performance by our members to make this evening a memorable one !!!! I along with Vinod express heartfelt thanks to each and every participant for coming for rehearsals,cooperation and enthusiasm. A special thanks to Fellowship committee Chairman, Co -Chairman and all coordinators for their consistent efforts and taking lead from front !!! Jyoti Mahipal PROJECT URJA "Heart Touching Experience” It was really very touching to get the blessings of elders early in the morning.Yes friends on Senior citizen day i.e. 8th August Rotary club of President Vinod Mahipal Calcutta Mahanagar arranged breakfast at ‘Little sisters for poor’. All the inmates were feeling so happy when we were serving typical South Indian along with secretary Ashok food to them and while talking we came to know one of them was a brigadier Agarwal and Anu Vidhawan , he very enthusistcally said I am going paid a visit to dialysis centre. to join army again and fight against terrorism. The inmates of the home requested us to come and spend time with them more frequently. Project Activities of Mahanagar for last 2 months Project- Health Check-up Date Report Place A mega health check-up camp was organized in association with “Shree Ram SevaSamity Trust”, Howrah at “Shree RamkrishnaMaaSaradaSwasthaSevaPariseva”, atAgarhati, North 24 Parganas with the initiative of PP Aagarhati, 28.07.19 Rtn. Dr.RampalVidhawan. Approximately 900people registered for the check-up. Our Club also distributed N24PGS free medicines. A mega health check-up camp was organized with “Agarhati Shree Ramkrishna Maa Sarada Swastha Seva Aagarhati, 25.08.19 Pariseva” and “Shree Ram Seva Samity Trust”, North 24 Parganas with the initiative of PP Rtn. Dr.RampalVidhawan. Apprx. 800 people registered for the check-up on that day. In this camp various types of N24PGS check-up was done by the medical team, such as eye vision testing, diabetes, thalassemia, dental check -ups etc. Project- Urja Date Report Place On the first day of Rotary year 2019-20, Rotary Calcutta Mahanagar launched our Dialysis unit in the name “PROJECT URJA”. Two Dialysis machines were sponsored by President Vinod Mahipal and inaugurated by RID Shankar Nath 01.07.19 Kamal Sanghvi and DG Ajay Agarwal along with PRID Shekhar Mehta.
