Richard Lealand Allen, 76, passed away at his home in Riv- erside on July 11, 2013. He was born July 19,1936 in Greeley, Colo. He grew up in Denver and attended Manual High School. He served three years in the Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. On Jan. 5, 1957 he married Patricia Lucille Thomas whom he met in the seveth grade. Richard began his apprentice- ship with Plumbers Local No. 3 and became a Master Plumber working on such jobs as D.I.A, Coors Field, NORAD, NCR, the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Aspen, Colo., Bridger Power Station at Point of Rocks, Wyo., and many more. He retired in 1998 and as a retirement project he built a log home to replace the small cabin purchased as a vacation home in Riverside in 1965.
