  • (Dis)Ability Borderlands, Embodied Rhetorical Agency, and Adhd Methods of Madness
ABSTRACT (DIS)ABILITY BORDERLANDS, EMBODIED RHETORICAL AGENCY, AND ADHD METHODS OF MADNESS by Kaydra Nicole Bui In this thesis, I advocate for access and rhetorical agency for academics with in/visible (dis)abilities. This is also to say that my work is self-advocacy as I negotiate my positionality within academic ableism as a marginalized person with (dis)abilities. I take an intersectional and interdependent approach to (dis)ability justice and embodied rhetorics, dialoguing with borderland theory, critical race theory, feminist, and decolonial scholarship. Ultimately, I hope to model an ADHD/neuroqueer form of writing that allows me to discover the rhetorical strengths I and other neuroqueer writers have to offer while reimagining access in discursive sites of power such as the composition classroom, (dis)ability disclosure, and Student Disability Services. • MCC Toronto's Reopening Plans
MCC Toronto’s Reopening Plans We at MCC Toronto hope that this message finds you well and that you have been enjoying the summer sun! As Ontario continues to progress on its re-opening plans, we want to update you on when we at MCC Toronto will resume In Person Worship Services. While many are excited to resume in-person Worship Services, others might be more reluctant and prefer to continue online. We want to accommodate both and so we expect online Worships Services will continue in one form or another. Furthermore, as many well know, our sanctuary is sweltering in the summer and so a decision was made some weeks ago to aim for a September resumption of in-person Worship Services. While some smaller congregations in the city have resumed in-person Services, like a mighty ship, MCC Toronto requires “all hands on deck” to pivot and that’s where you come in! We need you to volunteer, to get engaged, and to stay committed to MCC Toronto! Here’s what to watch for: Monday, August 9: We will be sending out a special congregation survey e-mail blast. Please take the 10-15 minutes to fill the survey out diligently. Your responses will help us decide our shared future and determine our direction. Sunday, September 12: MCC Toronto will host a very special Open House for new congregants who’ve discovered us online over the last 18 months and a Volunteer Training Session for communion servers and greeters. Sunday September 19th: We will have our first In-Person Worship Service in almost a year at our historic building 115 Simpson Avenue for MCC Toronto’s Homecoming Celebration!!! We are still working through the development of clear new protocols to keep you and our communities safe.

Gay Atlanta – the best gay hotels, bars, clubs & more Atlanta, the Georgia state capital, is often considered the unofficial gay capital of the southern USA. Although the south may not have an LGBT-friendly reputation, this bustling metropolis is an open, friendly and welcoming destination for all travelers. Here you’ll find a melting pot of cultures and a unique mix of southern charm with all the conveniences of big city living. Atlanta is also a historically significant location due to its Important role during the American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Today, it’s known for world-class museums, shopping, outdoor spaces, southern cuisine and nightlife as well as thriving neighborhoods. General ps The hot and humid summer weather between June and August gives merit to the nickname, Hotlanta. This is also when room rates are their highest. The best time to visit is from March to May when you’ll enjoy milder weather to spend time outside and take advantage of all the outdoor events and activities. To save a few dollars, try visiting in December, January or February when the city is less crowded and room prices drop due to the cooler weather. When planning your visit, also consider the Atlantic hurricane season that lasts from summer through fall and could interrupt your trip. When booking accommodations, keep in mind that Midtown is the center of gay life in Atlanta, although LGBT-friendly spots can be found throughout the city and suburbs. Other areas like Downtown, Westside, Ansley Mall/Cheshire Bridge, Buckhead and Grant Park and Cabbagetown all boast LGBT shops, restaurants and venues.
