Und dies ist mein Freund, Mr. Laurel." In der Tür steht James Finlayson, ihr ewiger Widersacher, ein schlafmütziger Hausvater, der die Augen angesichts des Paares einwärts dreht und mit dem Schnurbart zu beben anfängt. Das ungleiche Paar, ein seltsamer Anblick trotz der Kleidung, die abso- lut nicht ungewöhnlich ist. Als wunderte es ihn fast ein bisschen, erzählte 49 Fritz Hirzel Stan Laurel später, die meistgestellte Frage sei gewesen, wie sie zusam- menkamen.
