    PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 16A THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE (LONG COURSE WEEKEND 2019) (VARIOUS ROADS LOCATED IN SOUTH PEMBROKESHIRE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITION) ORDER 2019 _________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council is to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to implement the following temporary restrictions which are necessary to enable the ‘Long Course Weekend 2019’ event to be held over the 5th – 7th July 2019. The restrictions and prohibitions are: i) to prohibit any motor vehicle from entering or proceeding along those lengths of road contained in Schedules 1, 2 and 5; ii) to prohibit the leading or driving of horses, horse drawn vehicles or any other animal along those lengths of road contained in Schedules 1, 2 and 5; iii) to introduce one way flow on the lengths of road and in the direction specified in Schedule 3; iv) to reverse one way traffic flow affecting those lengths of road contained in Schedule 4; v) to suspend one way traffic flow affecting those lengths of road contained in Schedule 6; vi) to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading along those lengths of road contained in Schedule 7. vii) to suspend weight restrictions affecting those lengths of roads contained in Schedule 8. The restrictions and prohibitions imposed by this Order will not apply to those vehicles associated with the event or emergency service vehicles and will only apply at such times and to such extent as indicated by the placing of the relevant traffic signs or indicated by a Police Officer or Traffic Management Officer associated with the event.

    PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL INFORMATION TO COUNCIL TAXPAYERS ON PLANNED EXPENDITURE AND COUNCIL TAX LEVEL IN 2020-21. The costs of the services administered by the County Council are shown below. The Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Town and Community Councils independently determine their own expenditure levels and resultant levies and precepts. Local Government Finance Settlement: The Standard Spending Assessment (the need to spend), calculated by the Welsh Government, is £247.6m which compares to the net Council expenditure of £235.5m shown below. Capital Investment: A programme of capital investment totaling £71.3m is planned for 2020-21, including slippage from previous years. This may be added to if additional funding approvals are received in the year. Financial Reserves: Revenue reserves – It is estimated that the Housing Revenue Account working balance (£0.7m) and the General Fund working balance (£7.0m) will remain unchanged during 2020-21. Included in the net expenditure of the County Council Services set out below are the planned net appropriations to reserves of £3.5m earmarked for specific purposes. Planned Revenue Expenditure: The revenue budget as summarised below may be added to if additional funding approvals are received in the year. Saturday 12th May 2015 Cardiff bay was the setting for WBRC’s involvement, along with 25 other Celtic crews, for the 10 years celebration ( ar wraith ar daith ) of the Wales Millenium Centre, and being a part of the outdoor Saturday night celebration put on by 'Walk the Plank' Friday morning a crack swat team of our rowers and towers descended on the capital to begin rehearsals of no less than 5 sessions, with other members travelling up later that day & Saturday morning to join them. With Friday rehearsals complete, tired crews made their way to Nos Da hostel in the city centre to get some well earned rest, but not before liquid refreshment and a banquet of fine pizzas organised by Marja. Saturday morning saw a lie in for the crews so shopping and general sight seeing seemed to fill time before we were needed at 2 o'clock for final rehearsals !!! Saturday rehearsals proved a little trickier while trying to keep formation in the bay before rowing in for the march into the arena ,as a slight wind picked up ! But with the fine Coxswains skills of Andy, Neil and PhillyT we soon managed to hold a decent line . With a small break before we performed in the evening there was only one thing to do... Yes get the carbs in.
