International audiences and critics alike have consistently recognized the fiery intensity that EDUARDO DELGADO projects from the concert stage. Following his recent appearance in his native Argentina, critics heralded him as a "rare musical personality," and in Tokyo following his recital in the Pablo Casals Hall, he was proclaimed, "the eminent as well as lyrical." Norwegian critics described Delgado as, "a pianist of a thousand nuances, a fantastic experience" in describing his recent recital. Delgado's concert appearances have spread across four continents - Eur ope, South America, Asia, and North America. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals in such countries as Germany, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, and Venezuela, among ... others. Music Teachers National Association National Conference San Antonio, Texas April 5, 2016 ALBERTO GINASTERA 100TH BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE 1916-2016 Eduardo Delgado, Concert Pianist Professor Emerita, California State Univ., Fullerton Alberto Ginastera Alberto Ginastera (1916-1983) categorized his music into three periods: "Objective Nationalism" (1934–1948), "Subjective Nationalism" (1948–1958), and "Neo-Expressionism" (1958–1983) These periods are varied in their use of traditional Argentine musical components. Works from his Objective Nationalistic period are more straightforward in integrating Argentine folk themes while works in his later periods continue to employ traditional elements but in a more abstract style. His appearances have taken him to the major music capitals of four continents—Europe, South America, Asia and North America. Through the wide span of Delgado’s repertoire, audiences immediately feel and hear that music affects him very deeply and that he shares these profound and personal emotions freely with every listener. -
