USC CLAY HELTON – HEAD COACH • Entering his third full season as USC head coach, Helton has won the Pac-12 South Division two of his three years. • At the helm of the Trojans’ program he owns a 27-10 overall record, 20-5 in Conference play, with nine wins over top-25 teams. • Has spent nine years with the Trojans program after serving as the coach and offensive coordinator from 2010-2015. • Led the Trojans to an 11-3 record last year, including a win in the 2017 Pac-12 Championship Game against No. 14 Stanford. • The first USC head coach to record 10-win seasons in each of his first two full seasons. The 21 wins in his first two full seasons are more than any USC coach. • Led USC to a legendary comeback victory against No. 5 Penn State in the 2016 Rose Bowl. • Has guided USC to an active 16-game win streak at the Coliseum for its longest since 2001-04. • Joined the USC staff as the quarterbacks coach in 2010 after spending 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Memphis, where he was the offensive coordinator his final three years. • Was the running backs coach at Houston, his alma mater, and worked under his father Kim Helton for three years. • Helton played two seasons at Auburn (1991, 1992) and earned 1992 SEC All-Academic honors. Transferred to play at Houston (1993, 1994) where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and interdisciplinary science. • His brother Tyson was USC’s quarterbacks coach the last two seasons before leaving to become the offensive coordinator at Tennessee.

CAMERON SMITH – USC SENIOR ILB • A three-year starter at inside , Smith led USC in tackles for the second consecutive year with 112 during the 2017 season. • Named to the 2018 Bednarik Award Watch List, presented to the College Defensive Player of the Year. • Earned first team All-Pac-12 honors with a team-high 112 tackles, including 11 for losses of 32 yards, one , and three deflections. • Has made 35 career starts as a Trojan and is the first player since 2012 to amass 100+ tackles in a single season and third since 2004. • Awarded USC’s Defensive Perimeter Player of the Year Award and Co-Lifter of the Year Award. • In 2017, he was named Second Team All-Pac-12 by Associated Press, First Team All-Pac-12 by Athlon and was named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award and Lott IMPACT Trophy. • Recorded 16 tackles against Utah for the most stops in a single game by a Trojan since Hayes Pullard in 2012. • In 2016, he was selected to the All-Pac-12 Second Team, Campus Insiders Sophomore All-American First Team, and earned the USC Trojan Way Leadership Award. • Named Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and received All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2015. • Graduated a semester early from Granite Bay High School in Roseville, Calif., to join the Trojan football team in the spring before his rookie campaign. • Smith interned at a winery over the summer and wants to be a fireman after his football career.

PORTER GUSTIN – USC SENIOR OLB • Selected to the 2018 Bednarik Award Watch List after playing in four games last season, recording 16 tackles and three sacks for -12 yards before missing most of the season with a toe and bicep injury. • The senior has appeared in 31 career games and made 17 starts for 109 tackles, including 23 for a loss, 14 sacks and four deflections. • Helped the Trojans to a win over Texas with four tackles and two sacks after he had two pins inserted into his broken big toe several days prior. • In his 2016 sophomore season, Gustin started all season at outside linebacker and had the second-most tackles on the team with 68, including a team-high 13 tackles for loss (58 yards), plus 5.5 sacks for 42 yards and four deflections. • Named 2016 All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Campus Insiders Sophomore All-American honorable mention. • Awarded USC’s John McKay Award in 2016, an honor for an underclassman with the most competitive spirit. • His father, John Gustin, played quarterback at Wyoming (199194).­ His mom, Scarlett Overly Gustin, and aunt, Amberli Gustin, both played basketball at BYU. • The political science major is known as an outdoorsman, growing up in Elk Ridge, Utah. • At Salem Hills High School, he was a linebacker as well as the starting quarterback and threw for almost 3,000 yards his senior year. • Threw a 93 fastball as the pitcher on the baseball team, also played basketball and ran track.
