A. That the City Council designate location No. 30 as shown on Sheet 19 of Plan D-30385 for the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the installation ofthe name of Felicity Huffman at 7072 Hollywood Boulevard.
B. Infonn the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce of the Council's action on this matter.
C. That this report be adopted prior to the date of the ceremony on March 7, 2012.

DISCUSSION:
Plan D-30385 details the extension of the Hollywood Walk of Fame along Hollywood Boulevard from Sycamore A venue to La Brea A venue. A print of Sheet 19 of said Plan, filed in the office of the City Engineer, identifies locations of Walk ofFame Stars numbered 1 to 148, inclusive.
The Walk ofFame Committee ofthe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has submitted a request for insertion into the Hollywood Walk of Fame the name of Felicity Huffman. The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.
The communicant's request is in accordance with City Council action of October 18, 1978, under Council File No. 78-3949. Following the Council's action of approval, and upon proper application and payment of the required fee, an installation permit can be secured at 201 N. Figueroa Street, 3rd Floor, Cmmter 23.

The Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has approved the below listed name for insertion into the Hollywood Walk of Fame:
FELICITY HUFFMAN - (Category-TELEVISION) Requested star location to be 7072 Hollywood Blvd., south side of the street. The star for FELICITY HUFFMAN will be placed in the newer extension of the Walk of Fame. The star will be located next to BOYZ II MEN which is numbered (31) to the West and a blank star (29 (WHICH WILL BE THE STAR OF WILLIAM H. MACY) to the East. Felicity Huffman has proven herself as an exceptional actress in both dramatic
and comedic roles. Huffman earned an Academy Award nomination for her stum1ing performance in "Tr~samerica," as well as a Golden Globe Award and Independent Spirit
Award for the same role. Huffman has also been honored with an Emmy and a Screen
Actors Guild Award for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on "Desperate
Housewives."
Huffman can currently be seen starring as "Lynette Scavo" on the ABC hit
"Desperate Housewives" on ABC on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM. The cast won the 2004
SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and most
recently won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. Huffman
was also nominated for Best Actress in a Television Comedy for "Desperate

Huffinan was last seen on film in THINKFilm's "Phoebe in Wonderland," which

The film, which was vvritten and directed by Duncan Tucker, was the first ever acquisition for the company and starred Huffman as "Bree" a transgendered woman who embarks on a journey across country with her newly discovered son. In addition to an Oscar nomination, Huffman won a Golden Globe and Independent Spirit
Award for the role. She was also was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and was awarded Best Actress by the National Board of Review and received a nomination for Best Actress from the Broadcast Film Critics Awards. Multiple film festivals screened the film including the Toronto International Film Festival and the Berlin
