Jeff Rector President / Festival Director

Jeff is an award-winning filmmaker and working actor. His feature film “Revamped” which he wrote, directed and produced, is currently being distributed worldwide. Jeff’s first short film “Fatal Kiss” won awards for “Best Screenplay”, “Best Director”, “Best Picture” and was one of the first short films ever acquired by HBO. Jeff is a member of the Television Academy and is the spokesman for the Academy of , and Horror Films that produce the Annual . Jeff served his community for five years on The Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council and other charitable organizations and committees. Jeff currently serves on the special events committee and board member for the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission. Jeff’s TV credits include “American Horror Story”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “”, “NYPD Blue” and “Beverly Hills 90210” to name a few. Jeff is proud to lead the festival into its 10th anniversary.

The Burbank International Film Festival is excited to honor the 50th anniversary of the Stanley Kubrick groundbreaking science fiction classic “2001: A Space Odyssey” with a special panel with one of the films stars Gary Lockwood (Dr. Frank Poole). Following the panel, Gary will be signing autographs and photos at the Galactic Sci-Fi Party as part of our Night of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror.
