Une «Flamandisation» De Bruxelles?
Une «flamandisation» de Bruxelles? Alice Romainville Université Libre de Bruxelles RÉSUMÉ Les médias francophones, en couvrant l'actualité politique bruxelloise et à la faveur des (très médiatisés) «conflits» communautaires, évoquent régulièrement les volontés du pouvoir flamand de (re)conquérir Bruxelles, voire une véritable «flamandisation» de la ville. Cet article tente d'éclairer cette question de manière empirique à l'aide de diffé- rents «indicateurs» de la présence flamande à Bruxelles. L'analyse des migrations entre la Flandre, la Wallonie et Bruxelles ces vingt dernières années montre que la population néerlandophone de Bruxelles n'est pas en augmentation. D'autres éléments doivent donc être trouvés pour expliquer ce sentiment d'une présence flamande accrue. Une étude plus poussée des migrations montre une concentration vers le centre de Bruxelles des migrations depuis la Flandre, et les investissements de la Communauté flamande sont également, dans beaucoup de domaines, concentrés dans le centre-ville. On observe en réalité, à défaut d'une véritable «flamandisation», une augmentation de la visibilité de la communauté flamande, à la fois en tant que groupe de population et en tant qu'institution politique. Le «mythe de la flamandisation» prend essence dans cette visibilité accrue, mais aussi dans les réactions francophones à cette visibilité. L'article analyse, au passage, les différentes formes que prend la présence institutionnelle fla- mande dans l'espace urbain, et en particulier dans le domaine culturel, lequel présente à Bruxelles des enjeux particuliers. Overzichtskaart Plechtige opening busstation Vilvoorde, 12 januari 2017 - De werkzaamheden zijn begonnen op 19 april 2016 en waren - zoals gepland - eind december voltooid . - Het project vertegenwoordigt een investering van zo’n 2,7 miljoen euro . Daarvan 2,2 miljoen euro voor de aankoop van het Joker Casino, 490 000 euro voor de bouw van de busterminal. - Het nieuwe busstation telt zes perrons die bediend worden door 15 buslijnen van De Lijn en 2 buslijnen van de MIVB . - Per dag zijn er in het busstation van Vilvoorde zo’n 5 000 op- en afstappers . Vijftien buslijnen van De Lijn en twee buslijnen van de MIVB verbinden het busstation van Vilvoorde met de ruime omgeving. Er zijn lijnen naar onder meer Mechelen en Grimbergen en enkele economische attractiepolen zoals de luchthaven van Zaventem. 17th IPHS Conference, Delft 2016 | HISTORY URBANISM RESILIENCE | VOLUME 03 Change and Responsive Planning | Man-made and Natural Disasters | Long Term- Adaptation to- Changes TOURNAI: ARCHITECTURE AND pLANNING THROUGH THE AGES OF A FORMER LEADING URBAN CENTRE, AND CURRENT pROVINCIAL HISTORIC CITY, OF THE LOW COUNTRIES Peter Martyn Instytut Sztuki PAN Home to one of the first Netherlandish urban communities to secure municipal autonomy, Tournai boasts an illustrious past and wealth of historic buildings of comparable importance to Bruges. Despite prolonged post-mediaeval decline, the city remained a self-contained urban entity, with its own unique identity, well into the 20th century. This brief, summary text seeks to remind contemporary town planners and architects that cities of the pre-industrial ages benefitted both from place-specific forms of architecture and urban works that ranged in scale from the straightening and laying out of new streets, bridge building or planning river embankments to defence walls capable of embracing populous urban centres. Moreover, compared to the mediaeval, early-modern or industrial ages, the kind of stylistic guidelines currently dictating what goes up in the urban environment (as well as down; excluding listed buildings), may often seem ill-conceived. Largely preserved and further embellished during the 19th and first decades of the 20th century, the urban qualities and built aesthetics of Tournai were gradually undermined thereafter. By the 1980s and 1990s, much of the moderately wealthy city centre predating World War II was gradually falling into disrepair. Today, Tournai could be on the verge of far-reaching change. The potentially disastrous effects on the still extensively retained urban-architectural heritage remain unclear. -

Vrienden Zal de zomermaand ons effectief terrasjesweer brengen? Mei was koud en nat, zon werd ons niet veel gegund, en toch voltrok zich in de natuur het wonder van ieder jaar. Geuren en kleuren in overvloed! Die schoonheid lokt een mens naar buiten. Een omkadering in vele tinten groen beperkt mijn gezichtsveld, zelfs het huis van onze achterbuur is slechts een dak. Solitair in het midden van het weiland staat een stoere eik in harmonische symbiose van kracht en waardigheid, koning te wezen. In de grasberm langs de gracht bloeit een weelde aan margrieten. Veldbloemen bekoren door hun eenvoud, ze ontplooien zich gaaf en puur zonder een hand die ze beschermt of leidt. Het malse gras van het hooiland is precies op tijd aan maaien toe; in de aangrenzende weiden grazen wit- zwart gevlekte koeien of liggen er urenlang te herkauwen. Een leger bruine konijntjes wipt en rent door de wei waarin de paarden staan, één paard kan dat niet verdragen en gaat furieus achter de langoortjes aan. Enkele dagen geleden is er een veulen geboren, we zagen nog net hoe het op zijn ranke benen leerde staan. Nu volgt het de merrie en vlijt zijn hoofd vertederend tegen moeders hals aan, een prachtig beeld van intimiteit en verbondenheid. In de tuin is het een explosie van rood en wit, lila en roze nu de rododendrons bloeien; prunus en blauwe regen lokken je met een fijn parfum dichterbij. -
