HEN the Llanciow circuit near Cowbriclge closecl its cloors to circuit racing, Wales was left without a race track until the efforts to open up the Pembrey circuit reachecl fruition at the end of the 1980s. Toclay, Pembrey is an important part of British nrotorsport and is one of the most wiclely-used venues in the country.

But it is not just car racing that keeps the circuit busy. Pembrey is host to just about every form of motorsport with motorbikes, scooters, karts ancl trucks all racing here. Aclcl in car sprints, rallycross ancl special stage rallying ancl you have a venue that benefits all branches of the sport.

Away from race weekends, Pembrey is regularly host to teams testing and cleveloping their cars. The manufactur€rs in the British Touring Car Championship are frequent visitors, recognising the challenging track as an icleal testing venue with its mix of fast and slow corners.
