With people unable to leave their homes, the entertainment industry and, in particular, the film industry went through a cinematic halt (Collier, 2021). Theatres and cinemas, alike, shut down and stopped releasing new movies, movie premiers were postponed, film castings and screenings were pushed back indefinitely, and theatrical companies lost millions of dollars in revenue.
