Your SIM card may be preinstalled, or you may be able to use your previous SIM card. Contact your carrier for more details. Install SIM Place the SIM card and into the tray with the gold contacts facing down. Charge your device Before turning on your device, charge it fully. NOTE Best 5G performance requires optimal 5G connection and unobstructed antennas (rear of device); see carrier for network availability; 5G performance may be impacted by a case or cover. NOTE Your device is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. To maintain the water-resistant and dust-resistant features of your device, make sure that the SIM card tray openings are maintained free of dust and water, and the tray is securely inserted prior to any exposure to liquids. For more information, see Maintaining water and dust resistance on page 157. Devices and software are constantly evolving — the illustrations you see here are for reference only. 5 Getting started Charge the battery Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. A charger (charging head and USB Type-C cable) is included with the device for charging the battery from any standard outlet. NOTE: Use only charging devices and batteries (if applicable) that are approved by Samsung. Samsung charging devices and batteries are designed for your device to maximize battery life. Using other charging devices and batteries may void your warranty and may cause damage. While charging, the device and the charger may become hot and stop charging. This usually does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance and is in the device’s normal range of operation. Disconnect the charger from the device and wait for the device to cool down. For more information, visit samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952. 6 Getting started Wireless PowerShare Wirelessly charge your compatible Samsung devices using your phone. Some features are not available while sharing power. For best results when using Wireless PowerShare, please note: • Remove any accessories or cover before using the feature. Depending on the type of accessory or cover, Wireless PowerShare may not work properly. • The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device, so you may need to adjust the placement to make a connection. When charging starts, a notification or vibration will occur, so the notification will help you know you've made a connection. • Call reception or data services may be affected, depending on your network environment. • Charging speed or efficiency can vary depending on device condition or surrounding environment. • Do not use headphones. 7 Getting started 1. From Quick Settings, tap Wireless PowerShare. 2. With the phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins. NOTE Wireless PowerShare works with most Qi-Certified devices. Requires minimum 30% battery to share. Speed and power efficiency of charge varies by device. May not work with some accessories, covers, or other manufacturer’s devices. If you have trouble connecting or charging is slow, remove any cover from each device. May affect call reception or data services, depending on your network environment. Devices and software are constantly evolving — the illustrations you see here are for reference only. 8 Getting started Accessories Supported accessories for your device that are purchased separately, like a fast wireless charger or case with a cover, can be configured through Settings. ◌ From Settings, tap Advanced features > Accessories. Start using your device Use the Power key to turn your device on or off. Do not use the device if the body is cracked or broken. Use the device only after it has been repaired. ◌ Press and hold the Power key. • To turn the device off, press and hold the Power key, and tap Power off. Confirm when prompted. • To restart your device, press and hold the Power key, and tap Restart. Use the Setup Wizard The first time you turn your device on, the Setup Wizard guides you through the basics of setting up your device.

In Oxygen Forensic® Detective 12.4, we have enhanced our support for Android devices based on Mediatek chipset by introducing the alternative method of physical extraction via rooting. The new rooting method is compatible with over 80% of Android devices based on the Mediatek arm64 chipset and having the security patch level until March 1, 2020. Please note that rooting requires a device to be unlocked. To obtain root rights on MTK Android device, choose “Android physical (via ADB)” in Oxygen Forensic® Extractor and follow the instructions. Once data is extracted, you can reboot a device to return it to the non-rooted state. Picture 1. The instructions before Android rooting. Cloud data extraction from Skype CLOUD FORENSICS The updated Oxygen Forensic® Cloud Extractor now offers data extraction from Skype. Authorization is supported via Skype credentials, phone number, Microsoft credentials, or Microsoft tokens extracted from Apple iOS and Android devices. The Extractor fully supports 2FA and allows configuring Proxy settings, if required. The extracted evidence set includes the account details, chats, calls, payments, and group information.
