WHO: Jemele Hill was co-host of SC6, with Michael Smith, ESPN's flagship SportsCenter, until February 2018, when she left the show to write for ESPN's The Undefeated website, devoted to the intersection between sports, African-Americans, race and culture. She recently told Al Sharpton that the move was “definitely, 100 percent, my choice” and should leave her less constrained when it comes to commentary “about issues revolving around race and sports.” Hill came under fire for her tweets that called Donald Trump “a white supremacist,” “a bigot” and “unqualified and unfit to be president.” Hill debuted on ESPN.com in 2006 as a national columnist and her television appearances steadily increased with her deep knowledge of sports, pop culture and her wit. Hill co-hosted His & Hers that was renamed Numbers Never Lie, with Michael Smith. Before ESPN, Hill cut her teeth as a newspaper reporter at several major publications from 1999 to 2006.
