1983 – Deal of the Century (Le Coup du siècle) 1985 – To Live and Die in L.A (Police Fédérale Los Angeles) 1987 – Rampage (Le Sang du châtiment) 1990 – The Guardian (La Nurse) 1994 – Blue Chips 1995 – Jade 1997 – 12 Angry Men (téléfilm) (Douze Hommes en colère) 2000 – Rules of Engagement (L’Enfer du devoir) 2003 – The Hunted (Traqué) 2007 – Bug 2012 – Killer Joe Je ne voulais pas que le film soit une copie de French Connection. deal of the century 1983 archive download Deal of the century. If Trump's legacy in Judea and Samaria is to last, Netanyahu will have to move quickly. Waiting for Biden: a newly set Mideast table - analysis. Some elements of Trump's Mideast peace plan, the so-called “Deal of the Century,” are becoming facts on the ground regardless of who wins next week’s US election. The historic battle for Israel’s heritage. Hundreds of heritage and archaeology sites in Judea and Samaria are reportedly slated to be removed from Israeli control and transferred to the jurisdiction of the proposed Palestinian state. It's not too late to push Trump's 'Peace to Prosperity' plan – opinion. In sharp contrast to past peace efforts with the Palestinians, this new plan presents a pathway to achieve parameters that will lead to something realistic and long-lasting. Netanyahu: Annexation still on the agenda. The prime minister said the matter is currently in the Trump administration’s hands. Netanyahu, Pompeo put Trump peace plan back on the table. However, they notably did not mention any timeline for Israel to apply sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria as the plan allows. The Trump plan might actually be pro-Palestinian. The plan can also be regarded as a reflection or acknowledgment of reality, as it stands today. Settlers push for new settlement outside boundaries of Trump plan. On Wednesday close to 1,000 right-wing activists held a rally in an area known as Ma’aleh Halhoul on the outskirts of the Gush Etzion Region of the West Bank.

  • Beyond the Box Office: an Analysis of Violent And
The SMART Journal SPORT MANAGEMENT AND RELATED TOPICS BEYOND THE BOX OFFICE: AN ANALYSIS OF VIOLENT AND DEVIANT BEHAVIOR IN POPULAR SPORT FILMS JEFFREY J. FOUNTAIN, PHD, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY LAURA L. FINLEY, PHD, BARRY UNIVERSITY PETER S. FINLEY, PHD, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY INTRODUCTION Research has shown that sport films depict a great deal of deviance and violence (Charlesworth & Glance, 2005; Finley & Finley, 2005; Jhully, 1999; Manganello, 2008). These depictions ranged from underage drinking to illicit drug use to sexual assault (Finley & Finley, 2005; Jhully, 1999). Yet only recently have sport films become a topic of academic attention (Baker, 2003; Jones, 2008; Kusz, 2008; Poulton & Roderick, 2008; Rowe, 1998; and Rowe, 2008). Drawing on the literature regarding media affects and violence in films, it can be argued that sport films depicting deviance and violence are likely to impact viewers in a number of ways, regardless of whether those individuals are sports fans (Finley & Finley, 2005; McDonald, 2007; Pearson, Curtis, Haney, & Zhang, 2003; Schehr, 2000; and, Wenner, 1989). A prime example of the impact sport films can have on some viewers occurred in 1993 when the movie The Program was released in theaters. The film featured a scene showing a heavily intoxicated star quarterback proving his “nerves of steel” by lying in the middle of a road at night while traffic went past (Hinds, 1993). This deviant behavior was copied by many teenagers shortly after the release of the film. One Polk, Pennsylvania teenager was killed instantly when a pickup truck ran over him as he lay in the street (Hinds, 1993).

SHAQ LOVES PEOPLE is an exhibition of portraits of people of various races, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds, curated by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. This diverse selection of works, by both emerging and established international artists, is a celebration of the human spirit and emblematic of the relationship between O’Neal and his fans. Through a variety of media - photography, video, drawing, sculpture, and even currency - these artworks challenge stereotypical notions of family and community, female beauty, power, and masculinity. From a family portrait composed entirely of strangers to an Iranian woman photographed through the fabric of her hijab, from a compelling reimagination of the myth of Venus to classic Hollywood actresses rendered in pen and ink, SHAQ LOVES PEOPLE relates personal narratives in unexpected and often humorous ways. • Is a Full Scholarship Enough? How Various Segments of American Society Have Debated Whether College Athletes Should Be Paid
Is a Full Scholarship Enough? How various segments of American society have debated whether college athletes should be paid Jeffrey Ackermann 1 [email protected] Spring, 2005 Abstract: In this paper, I explored how various styles of economic thought were used by different segments of society to analyze the issue of paying college athletes. I was surprised to notice the similarities in arguments presented by the more “academic” segments, including professional economics literature and think tanks, and the arguments presented by other segments of American society, such as mass media and public opinion. While most people may be unfamiliar with terms such as “marginal revenue product”, they can see the logic in paying an athlete an amount that reflects his value to the university. Also, people both for and against paying athletes used a social democratic argument, each tweaking it to conform to their beliefs. Those opposed to paying college athletes compared the athletes to students who had to pay full tuition. They felt that the athletes were privileged to receive their scholarships and additional money should be spent on other students rather than giving even more to the athletes. Those in favor of paying college athletes compared the athletes with wealthy college administrators and advocated a redistribution of income that gave less to the administrators and more to the athletes. Introduction The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) was founded in 1905 to govern college athletics, which had become increasingly violent and dangerous. Gradually, the NCAA expanded its role and established regulations for college eligibility. Student-athletes face harsh restrictions on the type and amount of compensation they receive.
