When Angels Speak - Part 2 1 of 52 When Angels Speak - Part 2 1 of 52 Part 2 By Mark McGee When Angels Speak - Part 2 2 of 52 When Angels Speak - Part 2 3 of 52 Christians around the world are claiming that angels speak to them (video example at the end of this article). Those claims raise several questions: • Are these claims real? • If real, how can we know that these encounters are really with angels? • Are these angels good or evil? How can we know for sure? • What do these angels say when they speak? • How should we respond to what they say? These and other questions are the focus of our new series, When Angels Speak. When Angels Speak - Part 2 4 of 52 When Angels Speak - Part 2 5 of 52 We are learning how angels spoke in the Bible as a way to know how they might speak today, if they speak to humans now. Many Christians claim that angels speak to them, so it is something we should investigate. The English word ‘angel’ is a transliteration of the Greek word aggelos, which means ‘messenger.’ Those angels we call ‘good’ carry messages from God, while angels we call ‘bad’ carry messages from Satan (e.g. 1 Timothy 4:1, “deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons”) In the last part of our study we learned how God used angels to carry out His judgment on disobedient people in the past. We now turn to how God will use angels to carry out His judgment on disobedient people and bad angels in the future. When Angels Speak - Part 2 6 of 52 Angels of Future Destruction In Matthew 13 we see Jesus explaining to His disciples the meaning of the parables He had been telling the crowds. The parables were about the Kingdom of Heaven – “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Have you understood all these things?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.” MATTHEW 13:47-51 Many angels will be involved in future judgment and destruction on earth. Here are some examples: “After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.” Revelation 7:1 When Angels Speak - Part 2 7 of 52 “And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets … Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake. So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night. And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, ‘Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, When Angels Speak - Part 2 8 of 52 because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound! hen the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them … Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. And thus I When Angels Speak - Part 2 9 of 52 saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm … Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’ And the twenty- four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: ‘We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.’ Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there When Angels Speak - Part 2 10 of 52 were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.” Revelation 8:2, 5-13; 9:1-6, 13-9; 11:15-19 Here are three other future examples of what angels will proclaim to people on earth during the time of God’s judgment. In light of the purpose of this series, watch for both the words and the tone of the angels. We’ve seen what angels have said in the past and we’re now looking at what angels will say in the future. What angels delivering God’s messages would say to people now should be consistent with these examples – “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’ And another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’ Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength When Angels Speak - Part 2 11 of 52 into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” REVELATION 14:6-11 We also know that there are angels who will demonstrate superior power over Satan and his angels.

  • Archangels Michael and Zadkiel
Archangels Michael and Zadkiel Michael is the great Archangel of God who has committed himself to the protection of the Son's (and daughters) of God. He carries a sword of Light to cut humanity free of the burdens of darkness that it sometimes carries. He is the Prince of Archangels and defeated Satan, who chose to turn from God and oppress mankind. He is the crusader of the Christ who will protect the soul of man and bring the presence of peace to those who choose to ask his help. He champions the Will of God and not the lower will of humanity. Yet with Love He will help humanity find the Divine path and protect the souls of those that chose it. Zadkiel is the Archangel of the violet flame. Zadkiel is the angel of the flame of forgiveness and of spiritual freedom. Love is the essence of all angels and Zadkiel, in love, will help mankind free themselves from the bonds of pain and karma they have created. The violet flame cleanses humanity of the accumulated debris of hatred and helps re-establish freedom, by transmuting mankind's mis-creations into the pure essence of Light that flows from God. We can choose to understand and feel the spiritual qualities of these two of God's messengers. We will ask for God's blessing through these angels and search for understanding of our role in God's creation. Archangel Gabriel I want to share some experiences I had with Archangel Gabriel. I had received wonderful upliftment and I believe we can all receive that.

  • Angelology Angelology
Christian Angelology Angelology Introduction Why study Angels? They teach us about God As part of God’s creation, to study them is to study why God created the way he did. In looking at angels we can see God’s designs for his creation, which tells us something about God himself. They teach us about ourselves We share many similar qualities to the angels. We also have several differences due to them being spiritual beings. In looking at these similarities and differences we can learn more about the ways God created humanity. In looking at angels we can avoid “angelic fallacies” which attempt to turn men into angels. They are fascinating! Humans tend to be drawn to the supernatural. Spiritual beings such as angels hit something inside of us that desires to “return to Eden” in the sense of wanting to reconnect ourselves to the spiritual world. They are different, and different is interesting to us. Fr. J. A N G E L S (amemJam¿) 1. Brief description 2. Nine orders of Angels 3. Archangels and Other Angels 1. Brief description of angels * Angels are spiritual beings created by God to serve Him, though created higher than man. Some, the good angels, have remained obedient to Him and carry out His will. Lucifer, whose ambitions were a distortion of God's plan, is known to us as the fallen angel, with the use of many names, among which are Satan, Belial, Beelzebub and the Devil. * The word "angelos" in Greek means messenger. Angels are purely spiritual beings that do God's will (Psalms 103:20, Matthew 26:53). * Angels were created before the world and man (Job 38:6,7) * Angels appear in the Bible from the beginning to the end, from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation. * The Bible is our best source of knowledge about angels - for example, Psalms 91:11, Matthew 18:10 and Acts 12:15 indicate humans have guardian angels. The theological study of angels is known as angelology. * 34 books of Bible refer to angels, Christ taught their existence (Matt.8:10; 24:31; 26:53 etc.). * An angel can be in only one place at one time (Dan.9:21-23; 10:10-14), b. Although they are spirit beings, they can appear in the form of men (in dreams – Matt.1:20; in natural sight with human functions – Gen. 18:1-8; 22: 19:1; seen by some and not others – 2 Kings 6:15-17). * Angels cannot reproduce (Mark 12:25), 3.

  • Major Arcana the Following Is the Journey of the Major Arcana
The Major Arcana The following is the journey of the Major Arcana. We are going to go through them briefly together, but it is also super essential you spend time with this journey over the next week! This course is taught from the Angel Tarot, and you can use the Angel Tarot, or the Archangel Power Tarot, both by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine. Of course this information can be applied to any card deck! The Major Arcana in general are some very powerful cards! In general they hold greater weight and meaning than the “minor arcana” (which are the other suites that will be discussed). They are also referred to as the trump cards and are the foundational piece of the Tarot deck. They make up the first 21 cards in the deck, and tell a really beautiful story. They are representative of a path to spiritual self awareness and unveil the different stages of life as we move thorough our path. They all hold very deep meaningful lessons. The recording in this week goes through those, and it is also important you listen to your own heart in what they mean to you. If a lot of Major Arcana appear, pay attention to two main points: 1. The person you are reading for may be going through some big life changes. 2. The more that appear the less free will and choice that person may have (but of course there is ALWAYS free will and choice). The Major Arcana cards are all numbered, and in the Angel Tarot are associated with an Angel.

14 NAZARETH AND BETHLEHEM IN PROPHECY. ence, that they either led to an entire indifference to the new life, or could only ascribe its appearance to some magical rite ; but such doctrines find no support in the Epistle to the Romans. With the doctrine of the new life, including of course the earnest of the Spirit and the assured outlook to glory, the theology o£ the Epistle in the ordinary sense terminates. But the Apostle does not lay down his pen till he has vindicated the ways of God to men in face of the disconcerting historical fact that the mass of God's own people refused to submit to the revela tion of His righteousness; and for him, at least, in the circumstances of the time, nothing was more essential in his theology than the daring argument of chaps. ix.-xi. The applied Christianity of the later chapters lies less in the theological field. JAMES DENNEY. NA.ZA.RETH A.ND BETHLEHEM IN PROPHECY. THE very name of the fulfilment of prophecy has been brought into contempt by reason of the mistaken way in which the subject has been handled. Good people have erred herein in the most unfortunate manner, looking for such "fulfilments" as do not in fact exist,-or, if they do, are of very little value,-and ignoring such as do exist, and are often of superlative worth and beauty. That the Holy Ghost spake by the Prophets, they have been forward to acknowledge; but in their interpretations they have made Him speak so feebly and foolishly that men have turned their ears away and desired to hear no more.

  • ANGELS January 4, 2012
K of C Council 12749 ANGELS January 4, 2012 The Adventures of Sherlock Homes is a terrific series. The hero is shrewd, perhaps to a fault; brilliant, but flawed. Obsessive and quite neurotic. And he surrounds himself with very interesting characters. Sherlock Holmes has an archenemy. Not just an enemy, but an archenemy: Moriorty. In fact, many heroes have archenemies: for example, Spiderman has Venom; Robin Hood has the Sheriff of Nottingham. Arch puts you in a special category. Sort of like the Haut of Haut Brion. There are, for example, Archbishops, Archconservatives, Archdukes, and Archangels, the latter group placed between ordinary angels and just below Principalities in the Celestial Hierarchy. As far as I can tell, there are three official Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. Michael is thought by some to represent humility before God. It is no surprise then that he is pictured fighting the devil who is, of course, the epitome of arrogance. Gabriel seems to announce things – often involving pregnancy as he did to Zacharias and to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Raphael is an angel often involved in healing. And then there are a number of semi-official Archangels that pop-up: Uriel, Sariel, Raquel, Remiel, Zadkiel, Haniel, and so forth. One could get lost in the whole group of Archangels trying to figure out who was who and what they did. I don’t know if it is a coincidence or not, but their names often end in –el like the noun “angel” Perhaps before contemplating Archangels we should look at ordinary Angels first.

  • 1 Prologue for Zadkiel the Archangel Zadkiel Is the Ruler of the Sixth
Prologue for Zadkiel The Archangel Zadkiel is the ruler of the Sixth Choir or Hall of Heaven. He is the instrument of divine justice, but justice tempered with compassion. It was Zadkiel who held back Abraham’s hand and spared the life of Isaac. Zadkiel acted not from his own will but as the instrument of God. Yet despite this impartiality, in this act he was the embodiment of mercy. Zadkiel was the agent of compassion steeled with purity of intent that enabled Abraham’s complete surrender. That surrender of Abraham fueled a transformation that rendered a terrible wrong into an affirmation of what is most true. A sacrifice of self that gave the traditions of the Books four millennia of life. It is in Zadkiel’s Sixth Chamber that justice and righteousness are most perfectly expressed and made manifest. Every impulse towards fairness and act of justice are inspired by the passage of Zadkiel through the chamber and awakened in human hearts. The profound reality of Zadkiel and the Sixth Heaven where he presides is known through the lens of many different cultures. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Jainism, Hermeticism, Gnosticism all acknowledge this sacred space that is indistinguishable from its ruler. The Romans recognized Jupiter, the king of the gods, in the Sixth Chamber, as did Dante in the Paradiso of his Divine Comedy. In Cantos 19 and 20, Dante described the 6th sphere as the final resting place of all just rulers who through the imperial eagle announce with one voice the justice of God. The Ayyavazhi Hindus acknowledge the 6th loga or heaven as the Sivaloga atop Mount Kailash in the Himalayas on the Tibetan border, the dwelling place of the supreme god, Shiva sometimes called Parameshwara.
