The drawing of the upcoming Season VII in the World Series of Boxing was held in Lausanne and the Asian franchises will be competing in the same Group C in 2017. Season VI was a great success for the Asian franchises SERIES OF BOXING in the World Series of Boxing, two of our teams, the newcomer Uzbek Tigers and Astana Arlans Kazakhstan both advanced to the semi-finals in 2016. The new Season VII will be starting with its first Group phase and matches in February in 2017. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan won the WSB Team Title in Season III and V and advanced also to the Semi- finals stage of Season VI. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan lost only one match in Season VI in the regular season to the strong Uzbek Tigers but finally they were able to win the difficult Group D. In spite of the final 9-1 result their boxers had to do their very best to beat Venezuela Caciques in the Quarter-finals of Season VI in Shymkent. Astana Arlans Kazakhstan was stopped by British Lionhearts in the semi-final of the last season in London. Yerzhan Zhomart (49kg), Nurbol Kalzhanov (56kg), Samat Bashenov (64kg), Aslanbek Shymbergenov (69kg), Meirim Nursultanov (75kg), 19-year-old Abilkhan Amankul (75kg), Arman Rysbek (81kg) and Kamshybek Kunkabayev (+91kg) were their key boxers in Season VI of the World Series of Boxing. Uzbek Tigers joined to the World Series of Boxing in Season VI and recorded almost perfect performance in the regular season which was enough to rank No.2 in the Group D.
