MARCO VIGORELLI 2020 PRIZE – Edition VIII The Marco Vigorelli Foundation has established an award named after the eponymous economist, senior partner of Accenture, who passed away in 2002, for young graduates of Italian and European academic institutions (see Annex A to this Call for Proposals). The call is addressed: - in Italy, to young graduates of the Faculties of Economics and related Interfaculty and Engineering Faculties, for Management Engineering degree courses only; - in Europe, to young graduates of Universities where there is at least one Faculty of Economics with a related degree in English. The topics covered by the call are: - corporate family responsibility and work/family reconciliation o measurement of company-employee benefits in the implementation of corporate family responsibility policies (indices and best practices); o family work-life balance as a strategic lever for the development of the enterprise; o new prospects for reconciling family work after Covid-19; - corporate welfare o worker participation and humanism of enterprises; o the role of networks in territorial welfare. The prize is Euro 1,000.00 (gross of withholding tax). The deadline for the submission of applications is 31 January 2021. PURPOSE Rewarding the theses of young scholars who, contextualizing the changes in society and the new approaches of companies to employees’ needs of reconciliation, analyze and identify the existing, innovative and/or most used corporate welfare tools, with particular focus on the processes of implementing such tools and, subsequently, measuring the results/benefits. EVALUATION CRITERIA Quality of the analysis of the current socio-economic scenario. Evaluation of the strategies adopted by companies in terms of corporate family responsibility and corporate welfare. Analysis of the opportunities for companies, with regard to the possibility of implementing tools for conciliation and evaluation of their effectiveness. via Morozzo della Rocca, 3 - 20123 Milano tel. 024819258 - fax. 024819246 - [email protected] www.marcovigorelli.org REQUIREMENTS Participating theses must have been discussed at the specified academic institutions no earlier than 1 March 2019 and must contain at least one case study or best practice of a successful business/organisation. DEADLINES AND FORMS In order to participate in the Prize, candidates must send to the address [email protected] no later than 31 January 2021 (subject: Marco Vigorelli 2020 Prize): - the Application Form with the accompanying release to use the data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (“GDPR”); - a scan of the degree certificate showing the result; - the Submission in word or pdf format, in Italian or in English, including the title page of the thesis discussed; - brief summary of the Submission (a maximum of 5,000 characters including spaces is permitted, summaries longer than this limit will not be accepted). This Call for Proposals and the related forms are available both in Italian and English on the website www.marcovigorelli.org in the dedicated section. In order to verify the positive outcome of sending the documentation and the correct submission of applications, candidates will receive confirmation by email within 4 working days. Candidates are responsible for requesting a confirmation of receipt if such is not received within the deadline indicated. AWARD The unconstestable judgement will be issued by an evaluation committee established at the Marco Vigorelli Foundation. The committee reserves the right to not award the Prize due to a lack of competitors or because none of the works submitted has been recognized as worthy.
