EXPERIENCE CHINA ITINERARY* DAY 1 • THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13 • NEW YORK/BEIJING Board an afternoon flight by 3:30pm to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner and cross the International Dateline. DAY2 • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14 • BEIJING Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China, at 6:00pm. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel after dinner. DAY 3 • SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15 • BEIJING Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world, and the Temple of Heaven. Sightseeing includes the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms. Also visit the Summer Palace, Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill and Marble Boat. DAY 4 • SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 • BEIJING Take a tour bus excursion to the Great Wall. The 4,000-mile long and 2,000-year-old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Visit to the Ming Tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors tombs before having a Roasted Beijing Duck Dinner. DAY 5 • MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 • BEIJING/SHANGHAI/SUZHOU Take a morning flight to Shanghai, then take the tour bus trip to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing includes the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple. Then visit the National Embroidery Institute to see the craft of silk embroidery, a craft with a 1,000 year history. Enjoy an evening dinner show with traditional Chi- nese music. DAY 6 • TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18 • SUZHOU/HANGZHOU Morning tour bus journey to Hangzhou to visit the Economic Development Zone and the centuries old Lingyin Temple. DAY 7 • WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19 • HANGZHOU/SHANGHAI Morning boat cruise on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses. Afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai. DAY 8 • THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20 • SHANGHAI Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Visit the Bund, a famous waterfront park. For those interested, business visits to the Pudong Economic Development Zone. DAY 9 • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21 • SHANGHAI/BEIJING/NEW YORK Morning flight to Beijing from Shanghai. Afternoon flight will depart by 1:00pm for JFK where you will arrive at 1:30pm on the same day.
