 International flight from home city of departure to Shanghai, China

Day 3, June 13 Wed, Shanghai: (B)

 Business visit to US Consulate Shanghai Dept. of Commerce;  Tour of the Famous Bund Area, which was Shanghai's economic hub at the turn of the last century, when it was headquarters to representatives from international banks and governments who built the neoclassical buildings for which The Bund is known. The Bund is located along the Huangpu River, a major shipping artery and an example of waterfront reclamation.  Business visit to Fudan University for academic exchanges;  Business visit to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center: Shanghai urban Planning Exhibition Center can give you good idea about how Shanghai developed from a small fisher village to a major metropolis of the world. Where you can find what Shanghai will be like in 20 years and you may see a spectacular circular movie about the dynamic change of Shanghai, the oriental architecture museum.

Day 4, June 14 Thur, Shanghai: (B)

 Business visit to Shanghai Normal University for academic exchanges;  Shanghai World Financial Center: The building has 100 floors in total. All the floors from 94th to 100th are for sightseeing. The 100th floor is the highest sightseeing platform in the world. There are dozens of skyscrapers around the building but all of them are now so short. The observatory at the 100th floor, which is as high as 474 meters, is the highest floor in the world. The highest Chinese restaurant - 416 meters high at the 93rd floor. The highest swimming pool - 366 meters high, at the 85th floor. The highest hotel - Park Hyatt Hotel, 79th- 93rd floors.  Entrance to and guided tour to Garden of Joys, the 16th century garden famous for its zigzag bridges, a 400-year old classical in the Old Town of Shanghai, not far from the Bund. PanYunduan spent twenty years and all of his savings building it to please his parents in their old age.  Walking tour Old Shanghai and Chenghuang Temple district a market area (bustling, busy and colorful tourist shopping area with great bargains).

Day 5, June 15 Fri, Shanghai (B/L)

 Academic visit/meeting to East China University of Political Science and Law (Shanghai) for academic exchanges;  Business visit to Shanghai Pudong New Development Zone to learn more about China's new policies and development since 1990s. Now Pudong has been China's financial and commercial center nationally and on Asia!  Business visit to Shanghai Hongkou Ghetto where Jewish refugees lived and prayed during WWII. It must be remembered that the 580,000 Jews living in Germany in 1933 were victimized by the Nazi terror for six years before the start of the Second World War when very few communities willing to accept any of them. We'll learn and touch Chinese history, culture, life with an emphasis on special researches and experiences at Jewish history and its impacts among other religions on China - Past and Present!  Speaker from Shanghai government at group lunch to talk about the development of Shanghai and challenges;  Nanjing Road was the first commercial road in Shanghai. In the early 20th century, there were only four department stores along this stretch. Now it is the top shopping center of the city. It is fantastically located, stemming off the Huangpu River and the Bund at a right angle and linking the city's main commercial and residential districts to the mouth of the river. The road to the east of Tibet Road is called East Nanjing Road while the road to the west is known as West Nanjing Road.

Day 7, June 17 Sun, Shanghai - (B)

 Tour of Shanghai Museum-the biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy;  Cultural Exploration to Xin Tian Di which is a lively new entertainment district. You can stay and enjoy the cafes, restaurants and shops. It is a unique place because of its concept of construction. It retains the antique walls, tiles and exterior of the Shikumen housing of old Shanghai. On the other hand, its interior embodies a totally different world of international gallery, bars and cafes, boutiques or theme restaurants. When you walk into Xin Tian Di, you will get the taste both of Shanghai in the 1920's and the sonic modern lifestyle of urbanites of the 21st century.  Depart for Beijing via overnight train.

Day 8, June 18, Monday, Beijing: (B/L)

Day 9, June 19, Tuesday, Beijing: (B/L)

 Starts our day by learning Daily Surviving Chinese;  Business activity to Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. While the original foundation of the cathedral was date back to 1605, in the thirty-third year of the reign of the Emperor Wanli of Ming Dynasty. When Italian Jesuit Matteo Ricci arrived in Beijing, the Emperor permitted him a residence slightly to the west of the site of the current cathedral, making it the oldest Catholic Church in Beijing.  Afternoon tour to . Forfeiting the military might of her country the “ Dragon Lady”, , misappropriated funds earmarked for China’s navy to build a spectacular complex of palaces and pagodas that includes a 2,100-feet-long colonnade and a two-story marble boat.  Business visit to the Chinese ancient city compound or Hutong, while its new high- rises and financial institutions testify to its booming economy, remnants of Old Beijing remain. Streets lined with dumpling and noodle stands, beautiful parks bedecked with pagodas, and 19th century homes with graceful four-walled courtyards. Meet and talk with the people to learn about Chinese daily life, social issues etc.

Day 10, June 20 Wednesday, Beijing: (B/L)

 Morning academic activity at Chinese Politics and Law University: tour the school, meeting with students of the school we visit so that the students have opportunity to learn from the Chinese young people of new generation about their perspectives of China on all aspects.  Tour the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. No photograph can prepare you for that first magical moment when you set foot on the Great Wall of China, the greatest fortification in human history built to prevent invasion by foreign barbarians. Also called the “Wall of 10,000 miles”, the Great Wall took over 10 years and a million laborers to construct. Snaking across the mountains like a protective dragon, the Great Wall meanders through 4,000 miles of countryside before trailing off into the Gobi Desert.  Guided tour a cloisonné factory where you see now the State-owned has been changed into private owned enterprises and how they cope with market demands;

Day 11, June 21 Thursday, Beijing: (B/D)

 Business visit to KBR or Baker Hughes, the well-known international company to learn from their Top Management Officer to learn how the American company coped with local culture and people to launch and expand their global markets, also what their perspectives about Asia, esp. China on all aspects;  Academic activity to China People's University. Professor Qi FanHua will lecture the topics covering China's " Leadership, Administration and Managements of HR" as well as Public Administration Policies", all students will have opportunity to meet his students and have time for exchanging your ideas.  Group dinner at the campus !

Day 12, June 22 Friday, Beijing: (B)

 Business visit to 2008 Beijing Olympic Facility Bird nest, Water Cube and etc;  Business Visit#: Beijing’s “798” Art District and learn how Communist factories were transformed into a vibrant community of painters and sculptors on the cutting edge of their fields.  Afternoon market research on Wangfujing Market Complex area, on your own through your personal experience of shopping and visiting of the shops in the complex to learn more further on marketing, cultural impacts etc.;  Lunch and dinner on your own;

Day 13, June 23 Saturday, Beijing (B)
