Website is lemontclassiccarclub.org and Facebook https://facebook.comLemontCCC Club Jackets For Sale We still have a couple of the club jackets which are black in color with white stripes on the bottom and a detachable hood we have 2 M, 4 L, 0 XL and 1 XXL sizes at $40.00 and they do run a little small so you need a larger size than you usually wear. Call for sizes. We also have a new style jacket which is black with blue lettering and graphics. These jackets run pretty true to size. We have 3 M, 4 L, sizes at $42.00, the 3 X-Large size at $45.00 and the 3 XX-Large and No XXX-Large size at $48.00 each. You can come out and try one on for size to see what fits. LCCC Sweatshirts for Sale The Lemont Classic Car Club also has a royal blue sweatshirt jackets with a hood and a full zipper up the front for sale. We currently have 1-Medium, 2-Large, 3 XLarge and 1-2X Large these jackets left but we can order more if our members want them. If you wish to place an order for a sweatshirt in your size call and when we get enough people to sign up we will reorder. The price is $22.00. Call Sharen @ 708-301-8899 to order a sweatshirt jacket. We also have club hats available in various colors for $5.00 each. Monday Meetings Are Now At Illinois Bar And Grill Starting the first week in May the Lemont Classic Car Club will hold their Monday Meetings at our new Home of Illinois Bar And Grill at 1131 State Street, Lemont, Il that’s 1 block south of the Lemon Tree. We will only conduct Official Club Business on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7 PM. You are still welcome to come out every week and socialize from 6:30 to whenever. During the months of May (the 3rd week) until the last Monday in September our Monday Night Cruise will be held here all summer from 6 until 9 PM. Will be at the Illinois Bar And Grill from now on. Page 2 Calendar Of Events Monday Night Meetings Monday night official meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. You are welcome to come out every Monday just to socialize and eat. Sunday, May 19th, Sunday Cruise Nights....at the “Big R” 4 to 7 PM and please don’t arrive before thru Sept. 29th, 3:30 PM as per instructions from the “Big R” Wednesday, Aug 7th, Camp Quality in Frankfort, Help the Frankfort Car Club by Taking a Child from the Cancer Camp for a short ride in your Classic car. Meet in Frankfort at 5:45 PM for check in and they usually have Pizza and Pop for us. Then we get a Police escort to the camp to pick up the Campers and take them for a short ride and then back to the camp for some Ice Cream. Please sign up with Sharen if you are planning to take part in this event. Sunday, August 11th, Charity Car Show for our “Little Cruisers” should there be rain We will reschedule this event for another date. Barrett and Baker v. Ford Motor Company, 2008-0624/FTL (Fla. NMVAB February 27, 2009) The Consumers purchased a new 2008 Ford F-450 truck. One of the Consumers was the owner of a company that transported vehicles from south Florida to the northeastern USA using the 2008 Ford F-450 truck which was the subject of the claim. That Consumer testified that he typically transported three vehicles using a fifth-wheel trailer attached to the truck, and that most of the approximately 65,000 miles on the vehicle at the time of the hearing were incurred after he started transporting vehicles to the Northeast. The hitch of the fifth-wheel trailer was attached inside the cargo bed of the truck. The Consumer approximated the weight of the trailer, without any cargo added, to be 4,000 pounds. During the Manufacturer‟s prehearing inspection of the truck, it was weighed with the driver in the vehicle, a quarter tank of fuel and the fifth-wheel hitch attached in the cargo bed. The vehicle weighed 9,120 pounds. The Manufacturer also submitted evidence showing one gallon of gasoline equaled 5.8 pounds. The vehicle had a fuel tank capacity of 40 gallons. The Manufacturer‟s witness testified that having a fifth-wheel trailer attached to a vehicle such as this one adds weight to the truck separate and apart from the weight of the trailer and cargo within the trailer.

Vintage Racing is an amateur sport where the pleasure of "Taking Part" must exceed the desire to "Win at All Cost." All competitors must know the limits of their skills and of their machines. WCMA has adopted the Sports Car Vintage Racing Association (www.svra.com) car classification rules for our Vintage / Historic race events; SVRA defines 11 race groups that may be combined or divided depending upon the expected entries at a particular event. WCMA reserves the right to alter these groups as necessary to provide safe, fair competition and be inclusive of all racers interested in Vintage Racing.
