I want to personally thank you for your participation and support to make this a very successful event. Every person involved, no matter what your role, is vital to the success of this event. The Tuition Assistance Auction could not Be accomplished without your involvement and support. NorthPointe Christian Schools continues to award approximately $500,000 each year in tuition assistance. One in four students that currently attend NPC receive assistance. This is made possible only through the generosity of God’s people. You play a significant role in giving these families the opportunity to receive an excellent Christ-centered education. “We are on a fixed income. If it had not been for the tuition assistance and the giving hearts of the contributors, we would not be able to attend. SILENT AUCTION BIDDING To bid on an item, clearly fill out a bid card with your Bidder numBer, the item numBer, and the amount of your Bid. Before Bidding, check the bid Board for the item’s high Bid and raise that bid a minimum oF $5. Then put your bid card in the basket provided. The table host will post the high bids on the board as quickly as they can. IF you really want the item, don’t hesitate to go to the top dollar amount right away to save work For the table host. Remember, our goal is not to get deals; our goal is to raise money. All silent auction bidding will start at 6pm. The First bid board will close at 6:30pm, then each bid board will follow in numerical order, approximately every 5-10 minutes. The master of ceremony will announce upcoming Bid Board closings and give some time for final Bids to Be made. When the countdown is completed the taBle host will pull the Basket and the Bids will Be closed. If there are two or more Bids for the same amount, the Bidders will Be called to the taBle to continue Bidding until there is a winner. DINE AND DASH TABLE Face Value Restaurant Gift Cards! Raffle winners will Be announced Before the Live Auction. 5 STUDENT SPONSORSHIP Before the Live Auction, the auctioneer will announce “Sponsor A Student.” At this time, guests will have the opportunity to raise their numBered Bid card and commit to sponsor a student(s) for a week ($250) or a month ($900). When a given sponsorship time frame is called out, please raise your Bidder card. The auction volunteers will record your Bidder numBer and your sponsorship will show up as a line item on your receipt at the end of the night. LIVE AUCTION The Live Auction will Begin at 8:00pm and will continue until all items are auctioned off. Please pay close attention to the current item up for Bid By watching the overhead screen for the description of the item and its item numBer. Our auctioneer from Miedema Asset Management Group will present an item up for Bid and Briefly descriBe it. He will then start the Bidding with a dollar amount. To Bid, simply raise your Bid card until the auctioneer acknowledges your Bid. CASHING OUT An invoice listing your purchases will Be availaBle at checkout. Please look it over for accuracy. Currently, there are thirteen cheetahs (9.4) held at non-AZA facilities. The target population size set by the Felid Taxon Advisory Group is 300 in the 2009 Regional Collection Plan. The population currently qualifies as a Yellow SSP Program. Current gene diversity for the managed population is 97.27% and is equivalent to the genetic diversity of a population descended from approximately 18 founders (FGE = 18.34). The standard genetic goal for AZA managed populations is to maintain 90% gene diversity for 100 years. When gene diversity falls below 90% (and average inbreeding increases), it is expected that reproduction will be increasingly compromised by, among other factors, lower birth weights, smaller litter sizes, and greater neonatal mortality. Under potential conditions, with a growth rate of 0% (lambda = 1.00), gene diversity can be maintained at or above 90% gene diversity for at least 50 years.

    CITY OF GRAND RAPIDS FY 2022 PRELIMINARY FISCAL PLAN The heart shaped artwork in the center of the cover image just outside Rosa Parks Circle was designed by Kate Meyer as a part of the Have a Heart GR art display that included 12 heart-shaped artworks by 14 local artists for the World of Winter festival in February of 2021. Have a Heart GR was curated and constructed by Barbara Lash and Carlos Aceves and sponsored by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. Ms. Meyer shared that her piece was created to showcase her personal passion for protecting the natural world, and to inspire others to "fall in love" with nature too! Her non-profit partner for this project was Blandford Nature Center. Blandford's wildlife ambassadors are a highlight of any visit to the center, and the barn owl, Luna, is one of their most iconic residents.
