We Are Proud to Announce That We Will Be Exhibiting at the DIY Press Release November 2013 Bond It continues Giant brand building efforts As part of an on-going campaign to maximise awareness of its brand, Bond It is set to continue and increase its high profile sponsorship of the Huddersfield Giants Rugby Super League team. The manufacturer of sealants, adhesives and other building chemicals became an associate sponsor of the team for the 2013 season recognising the unique marketing opportunities the sponsorship offered. It has now announced that it will become the team's main sponsor for the pending 2014 season. David Moore, managing director at Bond It, explains: "Our sponsorship of the Huddersfield Giants typifies Bond It's innovative approach to business. “Super League Rugby is seeing a massive surge in popularity with turnstile and TV viewing figures at record levels. Sponsoring the Giants has been an unconventional but highly effective marketing step that's enabled us to get the Bond It brand in front of millions of Super League fans, including many tradesmen, every week." He continues: "Sponsoring the Giants has also enabled us to celebrate our business' West Yorkshire heritage, and to support a team and club that makes a very real difference to the local community." As the Giants' new main sponsor, Bond It will see its logo move from the position it enjoyed as an associate sponsor on the back of the team's shirts to pride of place on the front. The logos of two product brands available from Bond It will also feature on the back of the team's shirts for the new 2014 season. This includes Schönox, whose world class self-levelling floor compounds are made under licence by Bond It in the UK, and Rescue Tape. A self-fusing silicone repair tape, Rescue Tape was first developed for the US military before becoming a major hit with tradesmen thanks to its immense versatility. It can be used for everything from repairing leaks on plumbing and hosing to insulating electrical wiring and sealing connections. Bond It's decision to become the Giants' main sponsor comes shortly after the team celebrated winning the 2013 League Leader's Shield. Commercial manager at the Huddersfield Giants, Paul Cribb, said: "We have formed a fantastic relationship with Bond It over the last eighteen months and are delighted to have them on board at a time when the profile of the club and the subsequent visibility for their brand couldn't be greater. We are delighted the business has now agreed to become our main sponsor and plans are already underway at both a club and team level to maintain our winning form into the 2014 season." David Moore concludes: During its last financial year, Bond It enjoyed record levels of performance and a number of different factors contributed to this success. This included new and existing product development, the addition of new manufacturing and distribution infrastructure to our business, the growing reputation of our range and investments into initiatives like our sponsorship of the Giants. We're looking forward to building on that in 2014 and are already eagerly awaiting the start of the new season." - ENDS - Image and caption: Bond It Giants 2014-1 and Bond It Giants 2014-2.jpg. Sealing the deal. To help maximise awareness of its brand of high performance sealants, adhesives and other building chemicals, Bond It has increased its high profile sponsorship of the Huddersfield Giants Rugby Super League team. Rugby League as a Televised Product in the United States of America By Mike Morris Abstract Rugby league is a form of rugby that is more similar to American football than its more globally popular cousin rugby union. This similarity to the United States of America’s most popular sport, that country’s appetite for sport, and its previous acceptance of foreign sports products makes rugby league an attractive product for American media outlets to present and promote. Rugby league’s history as a working-class sport in England and Australia will appeal to American consumers hungry for grit and authenticity from their favorite athletes and teams.
