Fox Sports 1 Showcases Week 10 Big 12/Pac-12 Quadrupleheader FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 FOX SPORTS 1 SHOWCASES WEEK 10 BIG 12/PAC-12 QUADRUPLEHEADER No. 6 Oregon Hosts Stanford in Key Pac-12 North Matchup on FOX New York – FOX Sports 1 presents more than 12 straight hours of exciting Big 12 and Pac-12 college football on Saturday, Nov. 1, plus the top two teams in the Pac-12 North go head-to-head on the FOX broadcast network, as No. 6 Oregon hosts Stanford for a 7:30 PM ET kick. An action-packed day on FOX Sports 1, America’s fastest-growing cable network, begins at 12:00 PM ET with a Big 12 tripleheader. Kansas faces No. 12 Baylor at 4:00 PM ET, while the 12:00 PM ET and 7:30 PM ET matchups will be announced early next week. Capping off a full day on the gridiron, No. 14 Arizona State hosts No. 19 Utah in a crucial Pac-12 South battle. Also across the FOX Sports family of networks, LA Tech hosts WKU at 3:00 PM ET on FOX Sports Regional Networks, and FOX College Sports has Southern Miss at UTEP. No. 19 Utah Hosts No. 20 USC in Pac-12 South Showdown This Weekend on FOX Sports 1 This weekend, FOX Sports 1 has a major Pac-12 South clash, as No. 19 Utah hosts No. 20 USC at 10:00 PM ET on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Trojans sit atop the division standings at 4-1, but have played two more conference games than the Utes, who are tied in the loss column at 2-1 and are coming off back-to-back impressive wins over then-No. 8 UCLA and Oregon State. Gus Johnson, Charles Davis and Molly McGrath have the call live from Rice-Eccles Stadium. Earlier in the day on Saturday, Oct. 25, the Big 12 takes center stage as No. 10 TCU hosts in-state rival Texas Tech at 3:30 PM ET on the FOX broadcast network. Joe Davis, Joey Harrington and Kris Budden call the action as the Horned Frogs look to continue their climb in the polls, already with wins over then-No. 4 Oklahoma and then-No. 15 Oklahoma State, as well as a close loss to then-No. 5 Baylor. Also at 3:30 PM ET, No. 23 Marshall, one of four remaining undefeated teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision, is home against FAU on FOX Sports 1 with Craig Bolerjack and Ryan Nece in the booth. An exciting weekend of football on the FOX Sports networks begins Friday, Oct. 24, on FOX Sports 1, as No. 6 Oregon hopes to build its playoff resume against Pac-12 North foe Cal at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. (January 13, 2020) – Dan Patrick, Tom Verducci, and Michael Wilbon have been voted into the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame, NSMA executive director Dave Goren announced. Three deceased legends, Skip Caray, Cawood Ledford, and Dick Young will also enter the Hall, the results of the annual vote of the NSMA's membership. The NSMA will also honor the 2019 national sportscaster of the year, Kevin Harlan, 2019 national sportswriter of the year, Adrian Wojnarowski, and 110 state sportscasters and sportswriters of the year from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia. They will be honored at the 61st annual NSMA awards banquet, June 29, 2020 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Patrick, host of The Dan Patrick Show, got his start in local television, before becoming a sports reporter at CNN. But it was after moving to ESPN and teaming with Keith Olbermann on the network's nightly SportsCenter shows that he made his mark. After leaving ESPN, Patrick went out on his own with nationally-syndicated radio show. The show is now in more than 300 markets in the U.S., and is simulcast on TV. Patrick is a two-time winner of the NSMA's national sportscaster of the year award. Verducci is senior baseball writer at Sports Illustrated, where has written for 27 years.
