Expect a high octane encounter which could easily go either way. The biggest concern for Palapanis will be finding a way to stop the goals after the Sharks conceded seven in their past two games. The departure of Liam McGing has come at the worst time for Sutherland but they will need to make do against a Mt Druitt attack which has found success this season. The Rangers come into the contest without a win in their last three matches. Defence will be again the big question mark surrounding Aidan Desmond’s side who have conceded eight goals in two of their past three contests. 1ST GRADE - NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Wollongong Wolves FC 19 14 3 2 49 14 35 45 2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 19 11 5 3 38 24 14 38 3 Blacktown City FC 19 10 4 5 28 21 7 34 4 Sydney United 58 FC 19 7 6 6 24 29 -5 27 5 Marconi Stallions FC 19 8 2 9 39 29 10 26 6 Sydney Olympic FC 19 7 5 7 30 30 0 26 7 Manly United FC 19 7 5 7 24 28 -4 26 8 Rockdale City Suns FC 19 7 2 10 23 37 -14 23 9 Sutherland Sharks FC 19 5 7 7 25 27 -2 22 10 Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC 19 5 6 8 33 43 -10 21 11 Sydney FC 19 6 2 11 30 43 -13 20 12 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 19 3 1 15 11 29 -18 10 NPLNSW.COM.AU 5 1ST GRADE REVIEWS Wollongong Wolves 4 – Sutherland Sharks 0 at WIN Stadium Wollongong Wolves are on the precipice of claiming the 2019 National Premier League NSW Men’s Premiership after a 4-0 win over Sutherland Sharks at WIN Stadium on Saturday evening. Keith was an integral part of the highly successful Sutherland teams in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was an uncompromising and talented central defender who was selected by Rudi Guttendorf in an Australian X1 to play a Polish side in 1979. Keith was a Miranda Magpies junior who became a representative player at 16 and had ambition only to play for the Sutherland Sharks despite offers from NSL and state league clubs. He had a magnetic personality, lived life to the fullest and looked adversity in the eye. His memory will live on for all who knew him.
