‘DARROW & DARROW’ Cast Bios KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY (Claire) - Kimberly Williams-Paisley has been starring in film, television and theater for over 25. Now a New York Times Best Selling Author, Williams- Paisley has garnered praise and admiration across the film, television and publishing arenas. She first lit up the screen as the radiant young bride in the comedy feature film series Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride Part II. Other film and then television roles followed, including the co-starring role of Dana on the ABC TV comedy series “According to Jim.” By the time that series concluded its impressive eight-season run, Williams-Paisley had fully evolved in her role opposite Jim Belushi and Courtney Thorne-Smith, increasing her involvement in the production by directing three episodes of the show. She went on to star in such films as How to Eat Fried Worms, the film adaptation of the popular young children’s book opposite Tom Cavanagh; the Warner Bros. feature We are Marshall for director McG opposite Matthew McConaughey; and the indie film Undiscovered Gyrl, co-starring Christian Slater and Martin Sheen. Most recently she was seen in the latest installment of the popular Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise for Fox 2000, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip co-starring Jason Lee and Tony Hale On television, she starred in “Amish Grace,” the story of the Amish schoolhouse massacre for the Lifetime, which debuted as the network’s highest-rated movie of the week at the time. She recurred for two seasons on the hit ABC TV drama “Nashville” as the mysterious Peggy Kenter, and had a recurring role on CBS’s “Two and a Half Men,” opposite Jon Cryer.” She also starred in the ABC Family Network’s “Lucky Seven” and the Lifetime Movie Network original feature “Identity Theft,” serving on both as co-producer. She co-starred in “The Christmas Shoes” for CBS, in ABC’s “Relativity,” in the NBC mini-series “The Tenth Kingdom” and in the Hallmark Hall of Fame film, “Follow the Stars Home.” Williams-Paisley made her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo and has appeared on stage in The Vagina Monologues in New York and Los Angeles, and in All in the Timing at the Geffen Playhouse. She also performed on London’s West End in David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, opposite Mark Strong and Patrick Marber. In addition to her acting work, Williams-Paisley is an accomplished writer, with her first full-length book Where the Light Gets In landing on the New York Times best-seller list in 2016. The piece created such national attention that she decided to delve deeper with a memoir, further exploring how she and her family coped with the illness, care and loss of her mother Linda. The paperback version was recently released. Williams-Paisley has become a spokesperson for the Alzheimer’s Association, speaking at various fundraisers and events throughout the country over the last couple of years. In the past, Williams-Paisley has also published articles for In Style and New You magazines and penned a year-long column for Redbook entitled “My Life as a New Wife.” She and her father Gurney Williams co-authored the children’s book, Henry and the Hidden Veggie Garden, and she wrote a chapter for the Zondervan-published book The Mother and Child Project: Raising Our Voices for Health and Hope, a project to help support mothers and children around the globe. In other charitable work, Williams-Paisley hosted the critically acclaimed series, “NPT Reports: Children’s Health Crisis” for Nashville Public Television. The program won a Mid-south Regional Emmy for its excellence in documentaries in the Community Service Category. She is actively involved with JP/HRO, Sean Penn’s Haitian relief organization, which is currently working to improve the lives of the people of Port-Au-Prince. She is also a member of the Entertainment Council for Feeding America, a Nashville Zoo Board member and a supporter of various animal rescue organizations. # # # WENDIE MALICK (Joanna) – Wendie Malick is on the board of The Environmental Media Association, and is a spokesperson for The Humane Society of the United States and Return to Freedom, a wild horse sanctuary and advocacy group. Through their charitable gift fund, A Drop in the Bucket, she and husband Richard Erickson support a medical center in the Congo. They live in the Santa Monica Mountains with five horses, a donkey, two dogs and a 13-year-old. Malick’s theater credits include Off Broadway productions such as North Shore Fish and Burleigh Grimes. In Los Angeles, she has performed in Questa, Round Trip, Santaland Diaries, The Vagina Monologues and The Underpants. On television she was most recently seen on “Mom,” “Pitch,” “NCIS: New Orleans” and CBS’ “Rush Hour.” She was previously a series regular on “Hot in Cleveland” (garnering a People’s Choice Award and SAG nomination for best ensemble); “Just Shoot Me” (one Golden Globe, two Emmy nominations); “Dream On” (four Cable Ace awards); “Frasier”; “Big Day”; “Good Company”; “CSI”; “NYPD Blue”; “LA Law”; “The X-Files”; and “Seinfeld.” Her animated credits include “BoJack Horseman,” “Jimmy Neutron” and “SpongeBob SquarePants.” # # # TOM CAVANAGH (Miles) - Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Tom Cavanagh and his family moved to Ghana when he was only six years old. His family later moved back to Quebec, where he attended Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. He played varsity ice hockey and basketball, and graduated with degrees in English, biology and education. Cavanagh made his professional stage debut playing Danny Zuko in Grease in his native Canada. That led to Broadway turns in Shenandoah and, more recently Urinetown. Other selected theatre credits include Freud’s Last Session, Brighton Beach Memoirs, A Chorus Line, Holiday, Cabaret, the Canadian Premiere of Spike Heels and Some Americans Abroad at Second Stage. Cavanagh recently starred in the film Offer & Compromise and the independent comedy, The Birder, as well as the independent thriller, 400 Days. Other films include Alchemy, Breakfast with Scot, Two Weeks, Gray Matters, Sublime and Yogi Bear, in which he spends his time yelling at the voices of Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake. Currently, Cavanaugh co-stars on the CW series “The Flash,” based on the DC Comics character. His extensive television credits include the Emmy and Peabody Award winning TV movie “Bang Bang You’re Dead,” and the miniseries “Capture of the Green River Killer.” He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his starring role in the award-winning NBC comedy “Ed” and had recurring roles on “Scrubs,” “Royal Pains” and “Eli Stone.” Cavanagh also starred in “Love Monkey,” “Trust Me,” “Jack and Bobby” and “Providence.” Cavanagh's directing credits include "Ed," the NYC-based "Money Game" about a female playground basketball hustler, and the upcoming feature FAITH. # # # (more) HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES – ‘DARROW & DARROW’ – CAST BIOS/Page 4 LILAH FITZGERALD (Lou) – Lilah Fitzgerald’s feature film credits include Seventh Son opposite Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges and Alicia Vikander and Wim Wenders’ Everything Will Be Fine, starring opposite James Franco and Rachel McAdams. On television, Fitzgerald currently co-stars on UPtv’s family comedy “Date My Dad,” produced by Emmy winning Producer Dan Angel. Other television credits include a recurring role on Bravo’s “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” and guest spots on ABC’s “Motive,” Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart” and “Harvest Moon” and the CW’s “The 100” and “Supernatural,” among others. In 2015, Fitzgerald was awarded Canada’s LEO award for Best Lead Performance for a Female in a Television Movie for her work on UPtv’s “My New Best Friend.” When not acting, she pursues her other passions, which include knitting, reading and ballet. # # # BARCLAY HOPE (Raymond) – Barclay Hope is a familiar face on film and television, having appeared in over 50 projects. He was a series lead on “PSI Factor” and has had recurring roles in series including “Riverdale,” “UNreal,” “The Killing,” “Eureka,” “Hellcats,” “Traveler” and “Smallville.” Among his most memorable projects was the ABC miniseries event “Path to 9/11,” in which he worked alongside Harvey Keitel in a leading role. His varied film work includes Soldier’s Girl, which premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, and Disney’s Tooth Fairy, in which he played Dwayne Johnson’s hockey coach. Hope also produced and directed The Birthday Cake starring wife Lindsay, but when all is said and done, their greatest achievements are their three beautiful children Sally, Maggie and Charlie. # # # BRANDI ALEXANDER (Winnie) – A proud Canadian born and raised in British Columbia, Brandi Alexander is an increasingly familiar face on television in the U.S. as well as Canada. She is a cast member of the upcoming Starz original series “Insomnia,” and was a series regular on the 2016 season of the award-winning Canadian spy drama “Romeo Section.” She had guest starring roles in series including “iZombie,” “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,” “Motive,” “Supernatural,” “Psych” and “Smallville.” Her film credits include the independent comedy/drama The Orchard, which premiered at the 2016 Montreal Film Festival and the horror movie The Blackburn Asylum.
