Folsom Prison Blues Johnny Cash bpm 115 E Move fast from one verse to the next

“Hi I’m Johnny Cash” I hear the train a comin' It's rolling round the bend And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on But that train keeps a rollin' on (PAUSE) down to San Antone

When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die When I hear that whistle blowing, (PAUSE) I hang my head and cry

SOLO

I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free But those people keep a movin' (PAUSE) And that's what tortures me SOLO

Well if they freed me from this prison If that railroad train was mine I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay And I'd let that lonesome whistle (PAUSE) blow my blues away

I'm A Believer G BPM 160 Monkees G C D G Chrous G C G D

I thought love was only true in fairy tales Meant for someone else but not for me. Love was out to get me (Do do dodo) That's the way it seemed (Do do do do). Disappointment haunted all my dreams.

Chorus Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer Not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer! I couldn't leave her if I tried. I thought love was more or less a givin' thing, Seems the more I gave the less I got. What's the use in tryin'? (Do do dodo) All you get is pain. (Do do dodo) When I needed sunshine I got rain.

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer Not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in love, I'm a believer! I couldn't leave her if I tried.

Sweet Caroline Neil Diamond Intro: A (3x)

Where it began, I can’t begin to knowin’; But then I know it’s growing strong Was in the spring, and spring became a summer; Who’d have believed you’d come along;

Hands, touching hands Reaching out, touching me touching you

Sweet Caroline; Good times never seemed so good I’ve been inclined to believe there never would; But now I

Look at the night, and it don’t seem so lonely; We fill it up with only two And when I hurt, Hurting runs off my shoulder; How can I hurt when holding you

Warm, touching warm; Reachin out, touching me touching you

Sweet Caroline; Good times never seemed so good I’ve been inclined to believe there never would; Oh, no, no

Solo (hands touching…)

Outro Sweet Caroline; Good times never seemed so good Sweet Caroline; I believe they never could Oh No No then end on A)

Already Gone Eagles

Well, I heard some people talkin' just the other day And they said you were gonna put me on a shelf But I got some news for you And you'll soon find out it's true Then you'll have to eat your lunch all by yourself

'Cause I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song Woo hoo hoo, (woo hoo) Woo hoo hoo, (woo hoo hoo)

The letter that you wrote me made me stop and wonder why But I guess you felt you had to set things right Just remember this, when you look up in the sky You can see the stars and never the light (that's right)

'Cause I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song Woo hoo hoo, (woo hoo), woo hoo hoo

Well, I know it wasn't you who held me down Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free So often times it happens we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key 'Cause I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song Woo hoo hoo, (woo hoo), woo hoo hoo

I'm already gone And I'm feelin' strong I will sing this vict'ry song 'Cause I'm already gone

'Cause I'm already gone Yes, Woo hoo hoo, (woo hoo), woo hoo hoo x2

Take Me Home, Country Roads John Denver CAPO 2 Key G BPM 160

Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads All my memories gather round her, miner's lady, stranger to blue water Dark and dusty, painted on the sky, misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads

Bridge I hear her voice in the morning hour, she calls me, the radio reminds me of my home far away And driving down the road I get a feeling that I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads X 2

Take me home now, country roads Take me home now, country roads

Where do the Children Play Cat Stevens

Well I think it's fine, building jumbo planes.

Or takin' a ride on a cosmic train.

Switch on summer from a slot machine.

Get what you want to if you want, Cause you can get anything.

I know we've come a long way, We're changin' day to day,

But tell me, Where do the children play?

Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass.

For your lorryloads pumping petrol gas.

And you make them long, and you make them tough.

But they just go on and on, And it seems you can't get off.

I know we've come a long way, We're changin' day to day,

But tell me, Where do the children play?

When you crack the sky, scrapers fill the air.

Will you keep on building higher

Til there's no more room up there?

Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry?

Will you tell us when to live? Will you tell us when to die?

I know we've come a long way, We're changin' day to day,

But tell me, Where do the children play?

For What It's Worth Buffalo Springfield

There's something happening here But what it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we Stop Children, what's that sound? Everybody look - what's going down?

There's battle lines being drawn Nobody's right if everybody's wrong Young people speaking' their minds Getting so much resistance from behind

I think it's time we Stop Hey, what's that sound? Everybody look - what's going down?

What a field day for the heat OOOOOOOHHHHH

A thousand people in the street OOOOOOOHHHHH Singing songs and carrying signs Mostly saying, "hooray for our side"

I think it's time we stop Children, what's that sound? Everybody look - what's going down?

Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep CLAP CLAP

It starts when you're always afraid CLAP CLAP Step out of line, the men come and take you away

I think it's time we stop Now, what's that sound? Everybody look - what's going down?

Brown Eyed Girl Van Morrison Hey, where did we go Days when the rains came ? Down in the hollow Playing a new game, Laughing and a-running, hey, hey, Skipping and a-jumping In the misty morning fog with Our, our hearts a-thumping And you, my brown-eyed girl, You, my brown-eyed girl.

Whatever happened To Tuesday and so slow Going down to the old mine with a Transistor radio. Standing in the sunlight laughing Hide behind a rainbow's wall, Slipping and a-sliding All along the waterfall With you, my brown-eyed girl, You, my brown-eyed girl.

Do you remember when we used to sing Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah Just like that Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah La dee dah.

So hard to find my way Now that I'm all on my own. I saw you just the other day, My, how you have grown! Cast my memory back there, Lord, Sometime I'm overcome thinking about Making love in the green grass Behind the stadium With you, my brown-eyed girl, You, my brown-eyed girl.

Do you remember when we used to sing Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah Laying in the green grass Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah Dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee Lyrics SDHS 45th Reunion 2019 14

Runnin’ Down A Dream: Tom Petty E D A AGE EGA Oooohs are CD E

It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down

I had the radio on, I was driving.

The trees went by, Me and Del were singing

Little runaway, I was flying.

Yeah running down a dream, That never would come to me

Workin’ on a mystery And goin’ wherever it leads

Runnin’ down a dream

I felt so good, like anything was possible

Hit cruise control, and rubbed my eyes

The last three days, the rain was unstoppable,

It was always cold, no sunshine.

Yeah running down a dream, That never would come to me

Workin’ on a mystery And goin’ wherever it leads

Runnin’ down a dream

Lead with vocal woo..oo’s

As I rolled on, the sky grew dark

I put the pedal down, To make some time.

There’s something good, Waitin’ down this road

I’m pickin’ up, whatever is mine.

(CHORUS) x2 Lead/ outro & woo..oo’s

It's another tequila sunrise Starin' slowly 'cross the sky Said goodbye He was just a hired hand Workin' on the dreams he planned to try The days go by

Ev'ry night when the sun goes down Just another lonely boy in town And she's out runnin' 'round

She wasn't just another woman And I couldn't keep from comin' on It's been so long Oh and it's a hollow feelin' When it comes down to dealin' friends It never ends SOLO Take another shot of courage Wonder why the right words never come You just get numb It's another tequila sunrise This old world still looks the same Another frame

Margaritaville

Nibblin' on sponge cake. Watchin' the sun bake All of those tourists covered with oil Strummin' my six string on my front porch swing Smell those shrimp Hey They're beginnin' to boil Wasted away again in Margaritaville Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt Some people claim that there's a woman to blame But I know it's nobody's fault last Time….But I know, it's my own damn fault

Don't know the reason Stayed here all season With nothing to show but this brand new tattoo But it's a real beauty A Mexican cutie, how it got here I haven't a clue

Wasted away again in Margaritaville Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt Some people claim that there's a woman to blame Now I think, - hell it could be my fault

I blew out my flip flop Stepped on a pop top Cut my heel, had to cruise on back home But there's booze in the blender And soon it will render That frozen concoction that helps me hang on Wasted away again in Margaritaville Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt Some people claim that there's a woman to blame But I know, it's my own damn fault

Long Black Veil (Johnny Cash)

Ten years ago, on a cold dark night Someone was killed 'neath the town hall light There were few at the scene, but they all agreed That the slayer who ran looked a lot like me

The judge said: Son, what is your alibi? If you were somewhere else, then you won't have to die I spoke not a word, though it meant my life For I'd been in the arms of my best friend's wife

Chorus She walks these hills in a long black veil She visits my grave when the night winds wa-ail Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows but me

Oh, the scaffold is high, and eternity's near She stood in the crowd and shed not a tear But late at night, when the north wind blows In a long black veil, she cries over my bones

Chorus She walks these hills in a long black veil She visits my grave when the night winds wa-ail Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows but me

Lodi

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Just about a year ago I set out on the road Seekin' my fame and fortune Lookin' for a pot of gold Thing got bad things got worse I guess you will know the tune Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again I rode in on the Greyhound I'll be walkin' out if I go I was just passin' through Must be seven seven months or more Ran out of time and money Looks like they took my friends Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again The man from the magazine Said I was on my way Somewhere I lost connections Ran out of songs to play I came into town, a one night stand Looks like my plans fell through Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again If I only had a dollar For ev'ry song I've sung And ev'ry time I had to play While people sat there drunk You know, I'd catch the next train Back to where I live Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again

Closing time This room won't be open 'til your brothers or you sisters come. So gather up your jackets, and move it to the exits I hope you have found a Friend.
