For the purposes of this report, degree and certificate programs are listed according to the name given them in their respective institutional catalogues. An inventory of programs offered is presented for each post- secondary institution of education in Appendices A thru D of this report. Appendix A presents the programs offered by the Oregon State Department ofHigher Education institutions. Appendix 8 provides the program inventories for institutions in the private and independent educational segment, while Appendices C and D contain program inventories for the public community colleges and the private vocational schools respectively. Appendix E contains a listing of the names and addresses of all postsecondary institutions included in this report. The programs offered in the public community collegeswere obtained from the Department of Education. Information concerning programs offered in the public four-year colleges, and universities was collected from the Oregon State Department of Higher Education. The basic and standard norm programs which are approved for teacher education are not identified in this publication. For the institutions in the private and independent educational segment, information concerning programs offered was obtained from their respective institutional catalogues. All of these institutions were given the opportunity to review the data that is included in this report to insure the greatest degree of accuracy possible. The program inventory that is presented for the private vocational schools in Oregon was obtained by a survey which the Educational Coordinating Council conducts on an-annual basis. This survey provides the opportunity for each school responding to the survey to update its list of programs offered prior to publication of this report. Due to the cooperation of the schools in this educational segment, program inventories were received from 101 different schools or 81.5 percent of the total receiving the survey. Today a student considering a postsecondary education in Oregon has approximately 170 different institutions within the State from which to choose. There are nine State Department of Higher Education institutions; 21 private colleges and universities; 13 community colleges; and almost 125 private vocational schools. A review of the program inventories presented in the appendices of this report shows the vast array of choices a student pursing a post- secondary education has in the selection of an area of Study. The Educational Coordinating Council wishes to thank those in- stitutions and agencies which provided information contained in this report. This project was supported in part by funds received from the Division of Academic Facilities of the U. S. Office of Education. t APPENDIX A AN INVENTORY OF PROGRAMS OFFERED AT OREGON STATE SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS 1973-74 Key: B = Bachelor's Degree M = Master's Degree D = Doctor's Degree P = First Professional Degree P-T = PreProfessional or Transfer Program A = Associate Degree C = Certificate -5- OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY Corvallis, Oregon Programm Offered Adult Education Engineering-Computer Aerospace Studies B Science (Co-Major) Engineering Physics B Agricultural Economics B,M,D English B Agricultural Engineering Entomology B,M,D Agricultural Engineering B Fisheries Science B,M,D Technology Food Science and B,M,D Agronomic Crop Science B,M,D Technology American Studies B Forestry B,M,D Animal Science B,M,D French B Anthropology B General Engineering B Art B General Science B,M,D Atmospheric Sciences B,M,D General Studies Biochemistry M,D Genetics M,D Biochemistry and Geography B,M,D Biophysics B Geology B,M,D Biophysics M,D German B Botany B,M,D Guidance and M,D Business Administration B,M Personnel Chemical Engineering B,M,D Health B Chemistey B,M,D History B Civil Engineering B,M,D HomeEcodliics B,M,D Civil Engineering B Tahnology Horticulture B,M,D Industrial Engineering Clothing, Textiles and B B,M,D Related Art Landscape Construction B Computer Science B,M,D and Maintenance Liberal Economics B B Manufacturing Education D a Engineering Electrical Power B Technology Technology Management Science Electrical & Electronics B,M,D Materials Science Engineering Mathematics B,M,D Elementary Education B,M -6- Pre-Medical P-T Mechanical.
