Game of Thrones Fans Provide Their Opinions on the Series Finale Game of Thrones Fans Provide their Opinions on the Series Finale Game of Thrones Predictions. Content warning: Spoilers ahead Washington, DC, May 23, 2019 – Our watch is now over, but before the Game of Thrones series finale, 15% of fans predicted that Tyrion Lannister would be the next to go after he busted Jaime out of “jail” in an effort to save the Lannister twins from Daenerys, and inevitably betraying Daenerys. However, these fans’ prediction was proven wrong after Jon drove a dagger into Daenerys’ stomach, making her the first to die in the series finale, confirming the prediction of 31% of fans. Forty-nine percent of fans believe that Jon Snow should have ruled over Westeros, an 11-point increase from last week. However, Bran is up eight points and makes a surprise jump to second place, after admitting that he knew he would rule over Westeros all along, 11% of fans agree that he is the ruler Westeros deserves. Few fans think that Arya (7%), Sansa (5%), or Samwell Tarly (5%) should have ended as the ultimate ruler of Westeros. Just like in the series finale, fans were given the opportunity to select a person to rule over Westeros - regardless of whether they lived or died by the end of the series. Forty-one percent believe that Jon should have ended up ruling over Westeros, showing him the same loyalty which he showed to the Andals and the first men. Daenerys came in second place with 14%. Members of the Stark family follow with Robb at 9%, Eddard (Ned) at 8%. If fans were given powers from the Lord of Light to bring any Game of Thrones character back to life, 17% are unsure of who they would bring back, and 11% would not revive anyone at all. However, 14% would revive Eddard (Ned) Stark, and 9% would revive Daenerys. The top-5 is rounded out by Robb Stark, Jorah Mormont (7% each), and Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (6%). 1. For the survey, a sample of 1,005 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English. The sample includes 176 adults who watched the series finale of Game of Thrones. These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted between May 13-14, 2019. For the survey, a sample of 1,005 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English. The sample includes 288 adults who watch Game of Thrones. For the wave fielded after episode four, a sample of 1,004 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English. The sample includes 281 adults who watch Game of Thrones. For the wave fielded after episode three, a sample of 1,005 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English between April 29-30, 2019. The sample includes 278 adults who watch Game of Thrones. For the wave fielded after episode two, a sample of 1,005 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English. The sample includes 267 adults who watch Game of Thrones. For the wave fielded after episode one, a sample of 1,005 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English between April 15-15, 2019. The sample includes 303 adults who watch Game of Thrones. For the pre-season wave, a sample of 1,006 adults 18+ from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii were interviewed online in English between April 4-5, 2019. The sample includes 298 adults who watch Game of Thrones. The sample for this study was randomly drawn from Ipsos’ online panel (see link below for more info on “Access Panels and Recruitment”), partner online panel sources, and “river” sampling (see link below for more info on the Ipsos “Ampario Overview” sample method) and does not rely on a population frame in the traditional sense. Ipsos uses fixed sample targets, unique to each study, in drawing a sample. After a sample has been obtained from the Ipsos panel, Ipsos calibrates respondent characteristics to be representative of the U.S. Population using standard procedures such as raking-ratio adjustments. The source of these population targets is U.S. Census 2016 American Community Survey data. The sample drawn for this study reflects fixed sample targets on demographics. Post-hoc weights were made to the population characteristics on gender, age, race/ethnicity, region, and education. Statistical margins of error are not applicable to online polls. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error and measurement error. Where figures do not sum to 100, this is due to the effects of rounding. The precision of Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for all respondents. Ipsos calculates a design effect (DEFF) for each study based on the variation of the weights, following the formula of Kish (1965). This study had a credibility interval adjusted for design effect of the following (n=1,005, DEFF=1.5, adjusted Confidence Interval=+/-5.0 percentage points). The poll also has a credibility interval plus or minus 6.7 percentage points for adults who watch Game of Thrones.

HBO PREMIERES THE THIRD SEASON OF GAME OF THRONES The new season will premiere simultaneously with the United States on March 31st Miami, FL, March 18, 2013 – The battle for the Iron Throne among the families who rule the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros continues in the third season of the HBO original series, Game of Thrones. Winner of two Emmys® 2011 and six Golden Globes® 2012, the series is based on the famous fantasy books “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin. HBO Latin America will premiere the third season simultaneously with the United States on March 31st. Many of the events that occurred in the first two seasons will culminate violently, with several of the main characters confronting their destinies. But new challengers for the Iron Throne rise from the most unexpected places. Characters old and new must navigate the demands of family, honor, ambition, love and – above all – survival, as the Westeros civil war rages into autumn. The Lannisters hold absolute dominion over King’s Landing after repelling Stannis Baratheon’s forces, yet Robb Stark –King of the North– still controls much of the South, having yet to lose a battle. In the Far North, Mance Rayder (new character portrayed by Ciaran Hinds) has united the wildlings into the largest army Westeros has ever seen. Only the Night’s Watch stands between him and the Seven Kingdoms. Across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys Targaryen – reunited with her three growing dragons – ventures into Slaver’s Bay in search of ships to take her home and allies to conquer it.

  • Representações Femininas Em Game of Thrones: Mediações Entre Os Sete Reinos E a Contemporaneidade
Game of Thrones.

It was originally written as a series of novels by the American author George R. R. Martin in 1996 and adapted to the TV screen by HBO in 2011. The series has completed its sixth season and is scheduled to go on for a total of eight seasons. Since its first broadcast in 2011, A Game of Thrones has attracted millions of viewers on a global scale and has received a total of 38 Emmy Awards. In A Game of Thrones, gender is one of the central themes, as power relations generally evolve around different gender roles. This study analyses masculinity in A Game of Thrones and the different types of masculinities which are identified through various male and female characters. This classification places all of the characters in two distinct gender categories. It also reveals the impact of these diverse forms of masculinities on the lives of the main characters and the general storyline of the production. Thus, the paper deconstructs the constructed masculinities in A Game of Thrones by exposing their representation through the main characters. ABSTRACT RACIALIZATION, FEMININITY, MOTHERHOOD AND THE IRON THRONE GAME OF THRONES A HIGH FANTASY REJECTION OF WOMEN OF COLOR This analysis dissects the historic preconceptions by which American television has erased and evaded race and racialized gender, sexuality and class distinctions within high fantasy fiction by dissociation, systemic neglect and negating artistic responsibility, much like American social reality. This investigation of high fantasy creative fiction alongside its historically inherited framework of hierarchal violent oppressions sets a tone through racialized caste, fetishized gender and sexuality. With the cult classic television series, Game of Thrones (2011-2019) as example, portrayals of white and nonwhite racial patterns as they define womanhood and motherhood are dichotomized through a new visual culture critical lens called the Colonizers Template. This methodological evaluation is addressed through a three-pronged specified study of influential areas: the creators of Game of Thrones as high fantasy creative contributors, the context of Game of Thrones
