On Sunday, August 5th, weather conditions, circumstances and time permitting, the following areas are scheduled to be fogged during the time frame of midnight to 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning:

The area in Surprise within an area from Greenway Road to Waddell Road and from Reems Road to Bullard Avenue (Exceeds population thresholds in the area).

CTCA Championships Tickets for the 2012 Cancer Treatment Centers of America Tennis Championships went on sale to the public on Wednesday August 1st. Tickets will be available for purchase in person at the Community and Recreation Services Office or online at Ticketmaster.com.

This year’s tournament will take place October 12th and 13th. The players competing for the title in this leg of the Powershares Series will be Tracy Austin, , , John McEnroe, , and Todd Martin.

Baseball Tournaments CRS is currently hosting the 2012 13 and 14 year old Babe Ruth Pacific Southwest Regional baseball tournament at the Recreation Campus. The championship games for both ages will be played in the stadium on Saturday, August 4th.

Both the divisions are competing for the opportunity to advance to the Babe Ruth World Series in Kitsap, Washington and Murray, Utah respectively. 15 of the 17 teams playing are from outside of Surprise and will generate over 600 room nights and $250,000.00 in economic impact.

Hawaii (Honolulu and Mililani), Nevada (Sparks and Fallon), Utah (Ogden, Juab & Taylorsville) California (El Segundo, San Benito, Westchester, San Leandro, Hayward, Watsonville, Santa Cruz & Alameda) and Arizona (Tucson, Somerton & Surprise) are all being represented.

Youth Soccer and Football Regular registration for our youth fall soccer and flag football programs has had 982 kids registered for Soccer and 500 kids registered for Youth Flag Football to date. Registration will continue through the start of the season which kicks off on in early September.
