The Location The Port of Lowestoft is situated directly opposite major Continental ports, making it vital in serving the busy sea routes between the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States. Handling nearly 100,000 tonnes of cargo each year, The Port mainly looks after Dry Bulks and General Cargo. About the role Reporting to the Harbour Master, Day to day duties will include the supervision of a small Marine team and you will make a key contribution to the provision of a quality Marine and Port service to our customers. You will also be receiving training to become a competent Pilot within the ABP Lowestoft CHA. Ideally, you will be in possession Master’s Certificate of Competency (STCW 11/2 over 3000 GT) or STCW certification with experience in a senior Deck Officer capacity with relevant ship handling experience.
