ERIK LOGAN President OWN: Network

Erik Logan was named president of OWN: , along with Sheri Salata, in July 2011, and together they spearhead the day-to-day operations for the award-winning network. Under their leadership, OWN has delivered consistent ratings momentum and was recently named one of the “Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Hollywood” by Fast Company.

The network has developed several popular original series including the Emmy award- winning “Oprah’s Lifeclass” and “Super Soul Sunday,” as well as the Emmy-nominated and NAACP winning “Oprah’s Master Class” along with other acclaimed series such as “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” “Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s” and “Oprah: Where Are They Now?.” Additionally, the network’s first scripted series from prolific producer and entertainer Tyler Perry, including “The Haves and the Have Nots,” have garnered record ratings for the network.

As a recognized leader in the entertainment industry, Mr. Logan, along with Ms. Salata, has been featured on the CableFAX 100 for the past three consecutive years, which profiles cable’s leaders, pioneers and influencers.

A veteran radio and media industry executive, Mr. Logan joined Harpo Studios in 2008 as executive vice president. Previously, Mr. Logan was executive vice president, programming and broadcast operations for XM Satellite Radio where he helped build the subscriber base to beyond 9 million subscribers, negotiated partnerships and managed day-to-day relationships with major content providers including Major League Baseball, PGA Tour, CNN, Clear Channel Communications and Fox News.

Prior to joining XM, Mr. Logan also served as president of programming for Citadel Broadcasting, and served for a over a decade at CBS/Infinity Broadcasting in a variety of roles, including vice president of programming.
