First Time Entering Narnia Jadis taking control over Edmund

Interpretation

The Chronicles of Narnia, a film that mystifies, mesmerizes, enlightens and entertains anyone, and that it unavoidably opens the doors to people’s imagination is an illustrious biblical metaphor. To begin with there is Aslan which symbolizes Jesus Christ, he brings peace to anyone, cures any injuries, he lives in a beautiful kingdom full of peace and joy where everything is possible, where all of his followers are ovidient, the weirdest creatures including all animals talk and don’t do any harm to others, even the trees are on Aslans side, no sign of evil it’s all about peace. All of this symbolizes heaven in the bible it is written that when all of us human beings die we all, the good people have a spot in heaven, where there would be no space for evil, animals won’t do harm to humans, and everything would be possible including the fact that all dead people will revive. On the other side, there is Jadis, the white witch she is the clear embodiment of evil, she is cruel and evil. Her frozen kingdom is full of evilness and of course loneliness, no signs of peace. Jadis symbolizes the power of Satan or evil in the world. In real life evil also exists, many people pretend to be followers of God making others believe that they are in the good side to pull others to their side, pretending to be someone that they are not, they end up being on the evil side. Another example of evil would be those people that do black magic and invoke bad spirits to do harm to others, witchcraft.

Battle scene, Aslans troops vs. Witch Peter in the Battle

Jadis pretended to be a good person when she meets Edmund; he was easily pulled off to her side because of those promises that she made him, if he brought his siblings to Narnia. At the end Edmund, realize that the white witch was evil. One of the most biblical events that appeared on this movie was when Aslan gave his life to the witch so that Edmund would not be killed, he sacrifice his life for him. Aslan was humiliated by the witch and her followers before being killed in the stone table. Jesus also sacrifice his life for all of us, he died being humiliated even cruelly beaten up by those who did not believe in him, the evil. The stone table symbolizes Jesus cross, where he was crucifies. On the day of the big battle between the good and the evil, the stone table breaks and Aslan returns back to life meaning Jesus resurrection. Aslan ready to help Peter in the battle and would kill the witch. In the battle, the witch seems to be taking control, stabbing Edmund. Peter fights her but he is protected by a helmet, the helmet meaning salvation, the shield is faith, his sword is the spirit within us and Susan’s horn is somehow a call for help meaning prayer. Aslan arrives, the witch can’t believe that he is alive, Aslan kills her leaving no signs of evil, evil won’t never ever exist in Narnia. Most of Aslans followers were turned into stones by the witch, but his breath could cure them meaning the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit, restoring his followers to life. The goal of this film was not to transmit a biblical message. However, if you were a believer in Jesus you would definitely see the message that is being conveyed. At the end the devil was defeated, the prophecy was fulfilled and the triumph of good over evil became a reality. No matter what, Jesus will defeat any barriers in order to help his followers, even cures the worst diseases. We might not see him but his power is incredible, the power of faith can take people to unbelievable places, that we don’t even imagine or beautiful unexpected things like miracles happen, there is no doubt about that faith moves mountains.
