Projects Awards Egypt's Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Wealth has witnessed the signing of the contract for the Phosphoric Acid Complex Project in Abu Tartour in El Wadi El Gedid Mar 15, 2018 valued $ 750 million to annually produce 1 million tons of Phosphoric Acid. That was reported in the media indicating it was signed between Eng. Khaled Al Ghazali Harb, Head of El Wadi Co. for Phosphate Industries & Industries, Eng. Mohamed Hathout, Chairman of ENNPI Co., John Simon Artiga, Head of Flour Co. of the US, Technology Holder & Geologist Fikri Yousef, Undersecretary for Mineral Wealth. Worth indicating is that Abu Tartour Area& hill disposes on raw phosphate to produce phosphoric acid estimated at 1 billion tons. That, according to DR. M Saad, will be followed with the construction of the required factories to produce salt derivatives such as the caustic soda and the chlorine now exported in raw form. Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning & Follow up, also by General Mohamed El Zamallout, Governor of El Wadi El Gedid a.o. During that conference Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis Honorary Chairman of the Oriental Weavers Group, announced the launching of the Holding Co. for Sinai Development capitalized at L.E. 200 million issued capital to which both Mr. Khamis & the BUE (British University Egypt) contributed L.E. 20 million each. Egypt's Minister of Transport urging the Minister of Petroleum & Minerals to find a solution to encounter bitumin shortages facing roads construction projects. That was Feb 17, 2018 reported in the media indicating the Minister of Transport, Dr. Eng. Hesham Arafat, has committed to solve the problem in the next few days after repeated claims were received from contractors involved in executing the National Roads Project. On his side another claim of bitumin shortage was expressed by Eng. Ali El Sayyad, Chairman of the Nile Co. for Roads Construction who indicated his company owns about 26 concrete mixers requiring thousands of tons of bitumin monthly & is suffering from its shortage on the market. Projects Awards An Egyptian consortium grouping Mokhtar Ibrahim & Petrojet was awarded L.E. 7.12 billion contract in Oman to pump soft water from Sohar in Al Zafra Governorate via Jan 02, 2018 225 Km long ductile cast iron & reinforced concrete pipeline of 1,200 to 1,600 mm.
