Permission granted to print or photocopy this document for personal use only. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the initial damage increases by Spell Lists 1d12 for each slot level above 3rd. The following spell lists show which spells can be cast by characters of each class. A spell's school of magic is noted in Ice Beam parentheses. 3rd-level evocation Casting Time: 1 action Artificer Spells Range: 60 feet Components: V, S Cantrips (0 Level) Duration: Instantaneous air slash (evocation) Classes: Druid, sorcerer, wizard blazing whip (evocation) You discharge a concentrated beam of cold energy upon a 2nd Level creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against charged beam (evocation) that creature. On a hit, the target takes 4d8 cold damage magic vestment (transmutation) and its speed is halved until the end of your next turn. While the target’s speed is reduced, it can’t be increased by any 3rd Level means, and the creature also has vulnerability to fire flameproof (abjuration) damage, unless it is immune to it. 4th Level At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell Daltim's flaming fist (evocation) slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd. Bard Spells Rimefire Cloak 4th-level evocation 4th Level phase trap (transmutation) Casting Time: 1 action Range: Self Components: V, S, M (ashes from a burned tree and a Cleric Spells pinch of snow) 1st Level Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes disrupting wind (evocation) Classes: Sorcerer 2nd Level You wrap your body with a cloak of rimefire for the duration. bone talisman (abjuration) Until the spell ends, you have resistance to cold and fire bone weapon (transmutation) damage. In addition, whenever a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, the cloak harms the 3rd Level assaulter. The attacker takes 2d4 fire damage and 2d4 cold flameproof (abjuration) damage. grasp of winter (transmutation) At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell 4th Level slot of 4th level or higher, the fire and cold damage increase phase trap (transmutation) by 1d4 for each slot level above 4th. Druid Spells Cantrips (0 Level) Design Inspiration air slash (evocation) All spells presented here were designed around existing frost chain (transmutation) spells of the fifth edition of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. Some already existed in older editions, such as Daltim's flaming 1st Level fist and frost fingers. However, some spells have their foundations in existing spells, such as ice beam (ray of disrupting wind (evocation) sickness) and wolfskin (haste). earth roots (conjuration) While some spells here are "twisted" versions of frost fingers (evocation) existing spells, others are an amalgam of spell effects, such as grasp of winter, which combines elements from 2nd Level witch bolt and Maximilian's earthen grasp. A few spells are bone talisman (abjuration) based on class features, such as analyze opponent, bone weapon (transmutation) combining elements from the Battlemaster fighter’s Know charged beam (evocation) Your Enemy feature, and the Monster Slayer ranger’s Hunter's Senses feature. shroud of flame (evocation) Samplethunderlance (transmutatio n) file 9 LOST SPELLBOOKS OF GRAVENHOLLOW Not for resale. This ambitious and challenging collection of tightly interwoven essays will find an eager au- dience among students and faculty in British and imperial history, as well as those interested in liberalism and moder- nity in other parts of the world.” Jordanna BaILkIn, author of The Culture of Property: The Crisis of Liberalism in Modern Britain “This volume investigates no less than the relationship of liberalism to Britain’s rise as an empire and the first modern nation. In its global scope and with its broad historical perspective, it makes a strong case for why British history still matters. It will be central for anyone interested in understanding how modernity came about.” Frank TrenTMann, author of Free Trade Nation: Consumption, Commerce, and Civil Society in Modern Britain In this wide-ranging volume, leading scholars across several disciplines—history, literature, sociology, and cultural studies—investigate the nature of liberalism and modernity in imperial Britain since the eighteenth century. They show how Britain’s liberal version of modernity (of capitalism, democracy, and imperialism) was the product of a peculiar set of historical cir- cumstances that continues to haunt our neoliberal present.
