Meet our Board of Directors 2016 -2017

Kevin Hazzard – Chair Kevin brings a valuable business and investment perspective to our Pathways organization. Kevin has been an Investment Advisor in the Sarnia community for more than twenty years, starting with Richardson Greenshields of Canada in 1995. His current role a s Investment Advisor within the Sarnia office of RBC Dominion Securities began in 2001. As part of his role as Investment Advisor, Kevin also has a Life Insurance license, a Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation, and a Chartered Investment Manage r (CIM) designation. Kevin is married to Josie and they have three children – Lucan, Gemma and Jaren. When not at the office or Pathways, he can often be found at local arenas and soccer fields.

Dean Edwardson – Vice Chair Dean is currently General Manager of the Sarnia-Lambton Environmental Association representing 19 multi-national companies dealing with Environmental and Emergency Response matters. He has held senior management positions both at a staff and operational level. He has served on a n umber of Boards including the Sarnia -Lambton Chamber of Commerce and Lambton Health Study. Dean has extensive experience in the areas of Board governance, operational budg eting and financial reporting, government relations and public outreach. Dean holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. Dean and his wife live in Sarnia and are the pro ud parents/grandparents of two daughters and four g randdaughters.

John McNei l – Treasurer John is currently Finance Manager at TransAlta where he leads a team that is responsible for providing Operations Finance support for + 50 Gas, Wind, Solar and Hydro facilities.

John has worked at TransAlta for the past 15 years. Before moving back to his home town, John worked for mining and manufacturing facilities, always in a Finance role. John has been on the Board at Pathways for the past 10 years, 9 of which were as Treasurer. In addition to the Pa thways Board, John spent several years on the Board for Sarnia FC and many years as a coach. John holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Accounting and minor in Economics. He is also a designated Accountant with a CMA/CPA. John has three children – Ashley, Todd and Kyle.

Patricia Dwyer – Secretary Patricia has a nursing background, holds a Master of Science Degree in Medicine from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified. She has frontline and leadership hospital experience as well as holding faculty positions with Centennial College in and the MUN School of Nursing. Patricia has extensive experience in Telehealth and has managed several major projects in this field. She has held positions as a Planning and Integration Lead with the SW LHIN, the Erie St. Claire Regional Director Ontario Renal Network, Capacity Building and Quality Improvement Specialist with Health Quality Ontario, and currently Health System Manager with the ESC LHIN.

Geoff Moore – Past Chair As a Professional Engineer in the United Kingdom Mr. Moore worked in development roles in power equipment and semi conductor industries. Immigrating to Canada with his wife Gwen in 1977, he worked in machine development at Fiberglas Canada in Sarnia and in various management roles which included two plant closures. After a short spell as Manufacturing Manager of Shawflex he returned to Sarnia for a second time in 1994 as Plant Manager for Partek Insulations. He led the necessary restructuring for new owners and was named president of Fibrex Insulations Inc in 1996. Mr Moore set up his own Consultancy in 2005 and worked extensively in London Ontario assisting in the rapid growth of Armatec Survivability operations until he retired in 2009.

Mr. Moore has served on various external Boards. He was president of the Canadian Association of Man Made Mineral Fibre Manufacturers, (CAMMVFM) and a member of the Executive Board of The Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation, (CIPEC). Locally he was a director of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Sarnia and President of their Charitable Foundation.

Chris de Jourdan Chris is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is now retired after working 35 years in the Chemical and Power Industries in Sarnia in various engineering and leadership roles. Whether it was managing capital projects, designing and maintaining mechanical equipment, or implementing reliability improvement programs, his team approach to problem solving had resulted in significant performance improvements in many manufacturing assets. His analysis skill and enthusiasm is an asset to our organization. Chris is married with three children, and an active volunteer in the community.

Jennifer Ellis Jennifer Ellis is an associate lawyer at G eorge, Murray, Shipley, Bell LLP . Her practice focuses on the areas of Real Estate, Corporate & Commercial, Wills and Estates. She obtained her Juris Doctor at Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in 2016 and completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of in 2011.

Warren Kennedy Warren worked for the Lambton Kent District School Board as teacher, secondary administrator and supervisory officer. After thirty years with the Lambton Kent District School Board, he moved to Windsor to become the Director of Education for the Greater Essex County District School Board. Warren just retired as th e Executive Director for the Ontario Public Supervisory Officers' Association and he plans to travel and spend more time with his family.

Adrienne Lee With a MBA from the University of Cambridge, Adrienne has an extensive background in marketing and business operations, having worked in both the private and public sector for over 20 years. She has held senior management roles in a number of different industries ranging from retail, entertainment, hospitality and business in both Canada and Africa. Adr ienne is part of both the Community Relations committee, and has provided valuable insight and advice into the development of the fundraising strategy for the centre. She is also a member of the Parent Advisory Group, a panel of parents that meet regularly to provide support and advice to the families of Pathways and also to the Board. She is the parent of a special needs child.

Dana Petko Dana’s connection with Pathways goes back 40 years to when her sister first started utilizing their services. Since then, Dana has worked with Pathways professionally in various ways as both an Early Childhood Educator and a Professor in the ECE Program at . She has also had experience with Pathways as a parent who has utilized their services for h er own children. Volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors is her way of supporting an organization she holds in very high esteem.

Dr. Rajni Saraf Dr. Saraf has worked as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in 4 different continents, including Asia, Europe, Middle East and . She loved each and every moment when a new life entered this world with her help. She is aware of various cultures and difficulties ethnic minorities face. Dr. Saraf has also been actively involved in the teaching of Medical students as well as Residents from the University of Western Ontario. She sits for the interviews selecting entrance to Medical school and for their final examinations for Licensing. Of particular interest to her is her work as a Quality assessor for the other Ob/Gyn of this province as a representative of the College of Physicians and surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Saraf has two sons and one stepson working in the USA and is blessed with three beautiful grandsons.

Dr. Stoesser – Pathways Medical Advisor

Jenny Greensmith, Pathways Executive Director Jenny grew up in and studied in Scotland where she later taught Latin and Greek. She and her husband Chris immigrated to Canada in 1977 to northern Newfoundland, and have also lived in Manitoba. They have four children who all live and work in the Greater area, and are also proud grandparents

Jenny's career in the health and social service sector began when she and her family moved to Sarnia-Lambton in 1988 where she worked as a speech-language pathologist with the hospitals. Since 1999 she has worked in leadership roles at Pathways Health Centre for Children where she has been the Executive Director since 2004.

Jenny is a member of the Rotary Club of Sarnia. She is currently Vice Chair of the Board of the Ontario Association of Children’s Rehabilitation Services (OACRS) and was appointed to the Board of Directors of Bluewater Health in June 2016 where she is currently a member of the Quality Committee.
